COMPLETE REVIEW

Nextiva was founded in 2006 and it is based in Arizona. The company offers a variety of cloud-based communication solutions and it is best tailored for small to medium-sized businesses. However, Nextiva also has Enterprise plans.

Features

With Nextiva you can choose between a 36-month agreement and month-to-month billing. The longer the period, the more the cost drops.

When you sign up for the service, you can get a local or toll-free number or you can transfer your current phone numbers, for an additional fee. The transfer takes just a few hours to be completed.

In terms of calling features you get all the basic functions such as long-distance calling, unlimited online faxing, music on hold and more.

Here are the most important features included with the standard Office Pro plan:

  • Caller ID, call waiting, call notify, call group, call forwarding, call parking
  • Anonymous call rejection
  • Answer confirmation
  • Alternate numbers; you can also set up different ringtones or line keys
  • Auto attendant
  • Barge-in; this feature lets you join a call that is already in progress
  • Direct voicemail transfer
  • Do not disturb
  • Instant group call
  • Three-way calling
  • Simultaneous ring
  • Voicemail to email
  • Virtual extensions

The Office Pro Plus plan comes with additional features such as:

  • Nextiva app, which is compatible with iOS and Android devices; from the app you can access contact lists, speed dials, settings and more
  • Auto attendant recordings
  • Call me now via links that let you place calls to numbers connected to the link

The Office Enterprise plan is the most complex one and it adds a few more useful tools such as:

  • Custom ringback
  • Nextiva Anywhere; this feature allows you to forward calls to any external number and appear as if you are at your desk; you can turn the feature on and off acoording to your needs
  • Call recording; you can set it to ‘always record’, or record calls on demand

All plans offered by Nextiva include a free local or toll-free number. You also get advanced call monitoring, cloud PBX and unlimited calling.

The web-portal is easy to use and you don’t require any hardware or equipment to use the service, thanks to it being a cloud-based solution. However, in case you do want to buy a phone system from them, you have a wide variety of options to choose from (desk phones, conference phones, cordless devices and more).

Nextiva will take care of all the required maintenance and available upgrades, so you don’t have to worry about anything except using their VoIP service.

Pricing

There are three main plans you can choose from when it comes to Nextiva VoIP services: Office Pro, Office Pro Plus and Office Enterprise.

The Office Pro plan starts from $19.95 per month for a 36-month agreement, for companies that have more than 100 users. If you have fewer users or you opt for month to month payment, the price goes up. For instance, for 1-4 users and a month-to-month agreement, the price is $34.95/month. For 20-99 users and a 36-month agreement, the price is $20.95/month.

The Office Pro Plus is their next available plan and it starts from $20.95 per month, for more than 100 users and a 36-month agreement.

The Office Enterprise is their most expensive option and it starts from $27.95/month for more than 100 users and a 36-month agreement.

Find out what the costs are for shorter-term agreements and a smaller number of users (make sure you click on the question mark symbol displayed right next to the price of each plan).

If you want to add voicemail-to-text for each of the plans, you have to pay an additional $2.95/user/month.

Nextiva also offers Contact Center plans: Contact Center Pro is $50/user/month and Contact Center Enterprise is $100.95/user/month. There are a lot of additional features you can opt for, such as an agent dashboard for $30/month, a receptionist dashboard for $40/month and others.

Performance

Nextiva is a reliable company and has a 99.99% uptime. The company has several data centers around the world.

Help/Support

Nextiva’s customer support can be accessed via phone, live chat and email. Their working hours are Monday-Friday, from 5 am to 6 pm and Saturday, from 9 am to 1 pm.
