COMPLETE REVIEW

The Osaki OS-4000 massage is a Titan World LLC brand, along with Titan products. The company is based in Texas and it is among the largest distributors in the US. In addition to massage chairs, they also specialize in back relief products, fitness machines and more. They import their products from a manufacturer in China.

The OS-4000 is one of the most popular high-end massage chairs on the market. It is not cheap, it is not the most expensive and it is a complex full body massage device. It was introduced on the US market in 2011 and it is still one of their best-selling models today.

Main specs:

  • Dimensions (L x W x H): 52 x 31 x 34 inches (main body); 38 x 25 x 15 (vertical side)
  • Gross Weight: 255 lbs.
  • Rated voltage: 110 – 120V
  • height: 6’4”
  • recommended weight: 230 lbs.
  • 8 automatic massage programs
  • 38 airbags
  • Two controllers (one is wireless)
  • Zero Gravity Mode

The Os-4000 is a beautiful and modern looking massage chair. It comes in 3 colors: black, cream and brown. It is covered in soft, synthetic leather. When you order the massage chair, you can opt between the free curbside delivery and the white glove delivery, with the latter being $250.

If you don’t want to go with the white glove delivery, expect to torment yourself quite a bit when it comes to assembling the chair. It is quite heavy and not a joy to put together. It is also large, so if you have a limited space, maybe this isn’t the best way to go.

One of the most appealing things about this chair is the air massage technology it uses. The OS-4000 has no less than 38 airbags: 2 for shoulders, 2 for the low back, 3 for the neck, 3 for the hip, 6 for feet, 6 for the side seat, 8 for the arm and hand and 8 for the calves. This high number of air bags, which are soft and comfortable, is very useful in offering a very human-like massage.

The chair has 2 stages of zero gravity and reclines to 30 degrees; it can also contour a variety of spine shapes.

When you first get started, the OS-4000 will perform a computerized, full body scan and self-adjust according to your body. The automatic leg scan also adjusts the foot massager according to your leg length.

However, it would be advised to know that the OS-4000 doesn’t have mechanical foot rollers, the only ones giving you a foot massage are the airbags.

The chair has 8 pre-set programs (circulation, healthcare, smart, demo, relax, neck & shoulder, lumbar, full air) and a manual mode in which you can choose between the 6 different massage styles: shiatsu, Swedish, rolling, kneading, tapping and combo. There is seat vibration massage and 5 levels of speed and intensity you can choose from.

You can set the auto-timer to have a 5 to max. 30 minutes massage session.

The OS-4000 has two controllers. The main one which is basically the control panel on the chair and a smaller, hand-held, wireless remote control, for when you want to set something without moving and giving up your comfortable position. Not all the buttons on the main control panel are backlit, which could prove to be annoying in dim light.

The OS-4000 offers heat therapy as well, which is focused on the lumbar area.

Now on to the cons. What is missing from the OS-4000 capabilities is buttocks massage and those spinning foot rollers. The shoulder width is not adjustable and there are no built-in speakers. Also, you might find the need of more intense rollers in the backseat.

Overall, the Osaki OS-4000 is a high-quality massage chair which has all the essential features and massage techniques. It is not suited for people who prefer a very rough, strong and intense massage and it is a bit on the heavier side, weight-wise, but it is a smart device with advanced features, zero gravity and a pretty affordable price for a top-end massage chair.

Pricing

On Amazon the price of the OS-4000 starts at $2,195, with free delivery. The chair comes with 1 year (parts and labor) warranty and 3 year parts only warranty.
