COMPLETE REVIEW

UCraft is a drag-and-drop website builder with a very simple and user-friendly interface, a Free plan and various templates to choose from, all of them modern looking.

If you want to get a first idea on what UCraft knows and what you can do with it, you can simply browse and inspect the official UCraft website, which was created using UCraft.

UCraft has plenty of subscription plans to choose from:

  • Landing Page: it is their free plan and it only allows you to create a single web page, add basic elements (up to 50), has a SEO app, SSL security and comes with the UCRAFT branding
  • Basic Website: it is $6/month paid annually and includes unlimited articles, lets you add all elements, comes without the UCRAFT branding, with 24/7 support, HTML/CSS/JS and more
  • Pro Website: $14/month when paid annually and includes ecommerce features (up to 50 products), multi-currencies, over 70 payment and shipping methods and more
  • Pro Shop: it costs $31/month when paid annually and includes up to 1000 products, discount coupons, the ability to edit invoices, tax exemption, wishlist and more
  • BigCommerce: it is $60/month when paid annually and it includes unlimited products, the ability to sell on Facebook, Ebay and Yandex.

Aside from the free Landing Page plan, all the other plans come with a 14-day trial.

Ease of use and how it works

UCraft is compatible with pretty much any browser as long as it is updated. You’ve got more than 70 templates at your disposal and several types of website to choose from: sport, art, travel, restaurant, business, blog, photography and more. The templates are contemporary and mobile responsive.

The drag and drop editor is really straightforward, you’ve got all the buttons on the left of the control panel: the dashboard, elements, blocks, a Preview button, Effects and Colors.

Everything is really simple and user-friendly and you’ve got plenty of customization options. All the settings are grouped in 3 sections: the dashboard, blocks (for header, footer, contact details, gallery and so on) and Elements, where you’ve got your widgets: map, Soundcloud, video, text, image gallery and more.

Once you click the ‘get started’ box and choose your template, you pick an UCraft subdomain and type in your details to sign up. After you are signed up, you are redirected to the dashboard and you can get started with your website. If you want, you can also watch the video guide first, to learn what the basic features are.

One drawback to this site builder is the fact that there’s no Undo option and you can’t go to a previous version of your site either.

Features

The Free plan is really basic. You can choose between approximately 20 templates and are allowed to only use up to 50 basic elements. You can connect your domain, you have Google Analytics, an SEO app, you can add and change colors and that’s pretty much it. You can only create a single web page.

With the Landing Page and basic Website plans you don’t get any ecommerce tools, only with the other 3 plans.

Here are some of the most notable features of UCraft:

  • A logo maker: which helps you create your website logo
  • The Team App, which lets you invite collaborators to your site and give them editing rights
  • The SEO app: gives you the basic tools such as adding a page title, image and description
  • Pages app: with this feature you can add, remove and rearrange the pages on your website
  • Designer Tools: it is now a free add-on and it lets you customize the templates in terms of layout, typography and more

When it comes to ecommerce tools, which are only included in the aforementioned plans, UCraft has its own built-in ecommerce engine. There are 0% transaction fees, you can choose between more than 70 payment and shipping methods, you get multi-currency sales, real time tracking, and depending on your plan, the ability to enable discount coupons, edit invoices, create favorites/wishlists and more. You can also sell on eBay, Facebook and Yandex, but only if you opt for their most expensive plan.

The Blogging features are also satisfactory with UCraft. With the Articles App feature you can create SEO-friendly content, add meta tags, a description, images (including a social media image, which is a unique feature).

What is missing, aside from Soundcloud, is an audio player, which is a drawback for UCraft.

UCraft includes approximately 15 integrations: Google Analytics, Soundcloud, YouTube, Vimeo, Zendesk Chat, Intercom, Hello Bar, Google Maps and more.

UCraft is impressively rich in features, it is very user-friendly and has good ecommerce, SEO and blogging tools. On the downside, it doesn’t provide the best customer support (disappointing response times) and their basic plans are poor in features.
