SUMMARY:

Simvoly is only a few years old on the market but it is a good option to consider if you want to create a simple yet attractive website. Simvoly does lack some important features such as a more complex photo editor, shipping integration, but it does compensate through a clean, intuitive interface, affordability and ease of use.

COMPLETE REVIEW

Simvoly is a company based in Bulgaria, Europe and it was founded in 2016, which makes it a really young name on the website builders’ market. However, Simvoly keeps enhancing, developing and growing in popularity. It has received more than 160 updates in 2018 alone.

While it doesn’t have a free version, Simvoly is an affordable website builder with 4 pricing plans you can choose from: Personal, Business, Growth and Pro. You can also try the product for free (no credit card requirements), but just for 14 days.

Regardless of the plan you choose, you benefit from a 14 day money back guarantee, free hosting, SSL certificates, integrations, a responsive editor, custom code and more.

Here are the main features included in each plan:

  • Personal: a drag & drop builder, up to 5 store products, up to 20 webpages, 10GB traffic, 2 website admins
  • Business: unlimited pages, 5 website admins, up to 25 products, 3 funnels, A/B split testing, 60GB traffic
  • Growth: unlimited pages, 20 funnels, 10 website admins, up to 100 products or unlimited products for an extra +$10, sales funnels, 120GB traffic
  • Pro: unlimited funnels, unlimited website admins, unlimited products, 400GB traffic

You can also add extra services for any of the plans: website design, logo design, if you want Simvoly experts to create the website/logo for you, according to your preferences. They can do it within 3 days (for up to 3 pages) or 5 days (up to 6 pages).

Ease of use and how it works

Simvoly is a user-friendly site builder, which uses drag and drop. You can choose to create the site yourself by using a template or the Simvoly Magic Website Wizard, which creates the site for you automatically.

Regarding the first option, you can choose between one of the 13 available categories, including art, business, services, photography, restaurant, real estate and more. Unfortunately, one important category missing from that list is Music, which is a shame in our opinion.

Once you choose a category, you can browse between their available templates, which are really responsive so you don’t have to worry about how your website will look on your mobile device. To get a clear picture of it, you can preview the template on all types of devices, from PC to smartphone, tablet, etc.

After you’re settled with a theme, you have to create an account with Simvoly and you’re pretty much done.

The Magic Website Wizard works by generating the site automatically, based on answers you give to some of their questions. First you choose the type of website you want, then decide on how you want the navigation menu to look and that’s pretty much it. Although the Magic Wizard from Simvoly can be useful for beginners or users who don’t want to waste time on doing the job themselves, it is not as complex and advanced as Wix’s or Jimdo’s counterparts for instance.

The Simvoly templates are modern looking and clean, you get the popular drag-and-drop builder, you can add your content in blocks (text, images, maps), you do get an Undo option, but only for your last action, not all the past ones, you can add pages, protect them with a password, choose a custom header for them, and more.

Unfortunately, with Simvoly there is a limit in how many webpages you can add, if you go for their Personal plan (you are limited to 20 pages). With the rest of the plans, you get unlimited pages.

When it comes to photo editing, possibilities are also quite limited. You can resize a photo, but you can’t rotate it or crop it, nor can you use online images from Flickr and so on.

Features

Simvoly is impressive when it comes to ecommerce features. There is a default Store page on your site, which you can delete if you are not using it. Simvoly allows you to sell site memberships, create different types of discounts for your products, manage inventory, upload multiple images for your products and more.

As for payment methods, there is PayPal and Stripe integration and you can set up shipping cost according to the item’s weight or price. When it comes to tax setup, Simvoly leaves room for improvement. While you can add a country-based tax, for United States it is a bit useless, because there are so many states and each of them comes with its own tax.

As for email marketing, you’ve got integration with GetResponse and also have access to Mailchimp through an app.

Simvoly is decent when it comes to SEO tools, too. It includes traffic statuses on your dashboard, you can also use Google Analytics for more complex info, you can set meta descriptions and meta titles and more.

Overall, despite its young ‘age’, we consider Simvoly to have a lot of potential and it definitely deserves a chance if you want a site builder that can help you create a site easily and fast. Its templates are responsive and good looking and the drag and drop editor is extremely user-friendly.

Pricing

The Personal plan starts from $9/month.

The Business plan starts from $18/month.

If you want extra services, they are priced as it follows: $199 for web design (up to 3 pages), $299 (website design for up to 6 pages) and $129 for logo design.
