MyCreditGroup offers more than just credit repair services. It also specializes in debt settlement and pay for delete negotiations. Although it is not among the cheapest services we reviewed, it does offer generous discounts for couples and it doesn’t charge for pulling your credit reports. They could have more educational resources on the website, but other than that, their services are mostly irreproachable.
MyCreditGroup is a credit repair company that was founded in 2000. The company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has helped more than 100,000 people so far. It is registered with the State of Texas and it is 100% CROA (Credit Repair Organizations Act) compliant.
They have good ratings from their customers and claim that over 80% of their business comes from client referrals.
MyCreditGroup addresses all types of financial problems that might affect your credit score: bankruptcies, collections, judgments, tax liens, charge-offs, late pays and others.
In order to get started you can call them or sign up for their free consultation. If you choose the latter, you have to fill in the form on their website (full name, email, phone number and type your message).
Once you get started, MyCreditGroup will assign you a personal advisor who will guide you and stay with you throughout the entire program. You can contact him anytime you want and you can also check how your case is going 24/7, by logging into your account.
Another plus of this company is the fact that they also specialize in pay for deletion and they also offer debt settlement services for free. They are included in their program.
They are also willing to contact anyone they have to in order to improve your credit score. They don’t only contact the 3 credit bureaus, but creditors, collection agencies and so on.
The length of the program differs from case to case, but it is usually from 3 to 6 months, and they claim you begin to see the first results after 30 to 45 days from enrolling in the program.
The way they dispute your items varies from case to case and the number of negative items they find in your report. This is a good thing, because it is not always a good idea to dispute all the items at once, even though there are companies that work that way.
One thing we noticed to be missing from their website is an educational center where people can inform themselves on credit and money related issues. All they have is a blog, but even that is not updated and the information on it is scarce.
On the bright side, MyCreditGroup doesn’t charge its customers for pulling any of the 3 credit reports. They do that for free.
Once your negative items were addressed, they also help you improve your profile and establish new lines of credit.
MyCreditGroup is not the cheapest service we reviewed, but it is close to the average. The monthly fee is $79 and the price includes debt settlement and pay for deletions.
They also offer discounts to customers who sign up as a couple and only have to pay around 70% of the normal fee.

Customer support is not the strongest quality with MyCreditGroup. There is no live chat available, you can only contact them by phone during business hours and the FAQ section (which is not the most comprehensive one we’ve seen) on their website is the only self-help resource you’re going to get.
However, the assigned expert you’re getting when you sign up will be a reliable contact person and the other phone reps are friendly and helpful, too.
