COMPLETE REVIEW

They are headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah but they work online with clients from all over the country.

Lexington Law claims it can remove various types of items from your credit history, from late payments, to bankruptcy, charge offs, foreclosures, excessive third-party inquiries, judgments, collections, liens and others. They say that their customers can see an average of 10,2 negative items being removed in the first four months.

Lexington Law has some appealing deals as well. Military personnel, friends, family members and couples get a 50% discount off the first-time work fee. There is also an initial free consultation which comes with a free credit report summary.

A disadvantage of this company is the fact that they don’t offer money back guarantee, unlike most of their competitors.

How does it work

If you decide to sign up with Lexington, you have to follow some steps. First you have to complete your personal information (name, email, phone number and address), then you will be contacted by a live agent who will discuss your credit situation with you and you will have to choose between one of their plans. You’ll be assigned to an attorney and a paralegal in a day or less, and once you sign the legal agreements, you are all set to go.

The process of improving your credit score is pretty much similar to other competitors. The method is basically the same. Lexington Law will get your credit reports, will analyze the disputable negative items and then proceed to take legal action. They assign this task to an experienced legal staff that will do the job on their behalf.

They also give you access to an online portal where you can see in real-time any updates and the overall progress of your case. You can see the status of each disputed item, when one of them gets removed from your report, etc. A paralegal team will also be at your disposal if you have any questions about the process.

As we mentioned above, Lexington acquires your credit scores for you, offers monthly credit monitoring and identity theft protection, which are useful services that help you stay on the right track and avoid the need for credit repair in the future. Another useful aspect is the fact that they work with the credit bureaus and your creditors simultaneously, improving your chances of having the removed items stay off of your report forever.

One other drawback of Lexington Law, compared to other competitors, is their working speed. They seem to be slower in their actions than other companies, but that could also be seen as a good thing, because they are more meticulous in determining how many negative items per credit bureau they can challenge monthly. They want to make sure they don’t overburden the credit bureaus and they want to prevent bureaus from assuming they are involved in any frivolous activity on your behalf.

Lexington Law has a section on their website dedicated to education, so you can learn everything you have to know about credit repair. In the Education Center you can find helpful articles, news, a blog and a list of individual rights, which is useful for when you have to deal with credit agencies.

Pricing

The service doesn’t require a contract and you are free to cancel on them anytime. They have 3 main plans:

  • Concord Standard, which is $79,95/month. It is the cheapest package and includes creditor interventions and communication with the credit bureaus
  • Concord Premier is the next option. It starts from $99,95/month and in addition to the services from the Standard plan, it also includes monthly credit monitoring, the analysis of your credit score
  • Premier Plus is their most expensive plan and it starts from $119,95/month. With this plan you also get FICO score tracking, identity theft insurance and creditor cease and desist letters.
Help/Support

Lexington Law offers customer support via email or phone. The reps are transparent, accurate, professional and communicative. Their email responsiveness is not always the best, but the overall customer service is satisfying. The paralegal team is also very helpful because they are always ready to answer to any questions or concerns you might have.
