COMPLETE REVIEW

Last on our list is the SimpliSafe home security monitoring provider. SimpliSafe is a very relevant provider, but it has a few drawbacks that might have you reconsider their offer. They are, however, offering you one of the greatest deals you can find in the home security industry – no contract. This is an amazing offer since you as a customer don’t need to sign any papers to start using your equipment. It is also DIY, so the system is handled entirely by you and no-one else.

Monitoring

As far as the technology goes, the company offers a lot of sensors. In fact, they offer 41 different sensors that can cover pretty much anything you need. The best thing is that you can keep piling up the equipment and they won’t affect the monthly fee at all. And because they’re DIY, you can install them yourself and do so very quickly. However, it should be noted that the SimpliSafe systems do not offer you the benefits of Smash and Crash Technology. This technology protects your system from being shut down by a burglar by damaging the console. However, SimpliSafe compensates for the lack of this tech in another way. They feature the hidden brain system. The hidden brain means that the mainframe of the entire system isn’t placed in the keypad, but in a different, special port. The port can be easily hidden, thus preventing the burglar from damaging the brains of the machinery and disabling the whole system. However, there are a few things that might not appeal to you. For starters, SimpliSafe doesn’t offer any video surveillance. While the company offers sensors galore, the obvious lack of cameras will surely make you think twice about getting SimpliSafe. In the best case scenario, you will have to compensate for this shortcoming by going somewhere else for the cameras. Lastly, SimpliSafe does not offer any home automation systems. But the thing that really keeps them competitive is the no-contract policy, which is a favorite among the customers, as it allows them to move around freely. All in all, this is a company we’d definitely recommend, but would also advise you to be aware of the shortcomings they have.

Home security is an expanding market and innovations are constantly being introduced. That is why SimpliSafe is trying to introduce their own cameras, but it is still in its beta testing phase. Also, no contract means you have to pay full price for the equipment. SimpliSafe manufactures their own equipment so that means you can’t mix and match with some other security products you might have from before. This option can, in the end, prove costlier than having a standard contract, as companies that have them offer discounts on their devices.

Features:

  • 24/7 Professional Monitoring & Police Dispatch
  • Wireless—No Phone Needed
  • No Long-Term Contracts
  • Fire and CO2 sensors
  • Flood and temperature alarms
  • Intrusion alarm
Pricing

The greatest thing about SimpliSafe is the no contract option they offer to you as a customer, as we have mentioned. This gives you so many possibilities, as you can do whatever you wish with the equipment you bought. You can calibrate it according to your own parameters, and you can move it wherever you like. This is most convenient if you’re going to change your place of residence in a short period of time after you’ve acquired their safety devices. Because it’s DIY, you don’t have to wait for a technician, but handle the system yourself. However, there is one thing you should know. For every piece of equipment, you will have to pay the full price of any devices you procure. Also, if you want monitoring, you will have to pay a monthly subscription, but this sum is very small anyway, so it won’t inconvenience you too much. You should also know that the company offers a three-year warranty on their products.

Performance

SimpliSafe is an affordable, flexible home security monitoring system that doesn’t lock you in with a contract. It offers a three-year warranty on all its equipment. Setting it up is all up to you.
