SUMMARY:

Altogether, LifeShield has a lot to offer its buyers. It is modern and reliable, as well as affordable. It may not have the most detailed security system you’d like, with sensors missing and cameras not panning or tilting, but you will still be very pleased with the equipment’s quality and the system’s reliability. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheaper system that you can upgrade at will, check out LifeShield.

COMPLETE REVIEW

Halfway through our list is LifeShield. This is another outstanding company with a good reputation and decent equipment to offer. It isn’t the best, as it lags behind the competition in some departments, especially home automation, but it can still deliver well enough, and at an affordable price. Of all the companies, LifeShield has one of the most affordable basic protection systems on the market, and, for a smaller budget, this is a great relief.

Monitoring

In fact, in many ways, LifeShield is very much like Protect America. They offer a good set of equipment, but they’re not comprehensive. Depending on the package you choose, they lack some essential sensors and other equipment that would make this a stellar system. They lack moving cameras and offer only stationary ones. They also don’t have recessed door sensors or garage door tilt sensors. The cameras, however, are pretty high quality and can take good quality stills and shoot HD video. The recessed sensor goes into the frame of the door and keeps a look out of the door being opened. Garage door tilt sensor monitors movement in your garage. Both of these sensors are a very useful anti-intrusion tool that you may want.

LifeShield uses the cellular model for its system. This is a great relief for you as a customer, since you can rest easy knowing the system can’t be disabled by a simple method like cutting the phone wires. This greatly shows you the system’s effectiveness and reliability, as well as its ability to protect you at all times. Your security system comes with an app that can link the system to your smartphone where you can be alerted of sudden changes and even get a live feed of the cameras. In addition, this is a professionally handled system, but you can choose to install it yourself if you know how, or if you don’t want to wait. The company also provides a very simple guide and an instructional video that will take you through the installation step by step.

The basic Security Essentials package includes flood, fire and CO2 monitoring equipment in the price. This is a great offer since you’re getting it all for under $40. The system is monitored 24/7, and you can access your live feed via your phone at any time to check who’s coming or going to your house when you’re not around. The motion sensor you get installed is specifically designed so it doesn’t get triggered by your pets.

Features:

  • Security monitoring
  • Fire-safety sensor
  • Keychain remote
  • 4 door & window sensors
  • Flood, fire, and CO2 monitoring
  • Mobile access
  • Pet-friendly motion sensor
Pricing

We also mentioned that the company has a very affordable base contract. For $39.99 you can get two door and window sensors and a main wireless console. Moreover, you can keep upgrading the system, and you can slowly work your way up by adding more and more equipment, getting a significantly more extensive and exhaustive security system. Since LifeShield is a professional system, you’ll have an extra $129 expense towards an activation fee.

Performance

Depending on the security package you pick, LifeShield has a wide variety of high quality protection equipment at your disposal. It offers 24/7 monitoring and some essential sensors and cameras. You can access your video feed on line or through your phone.
