Punch Home & Landscape Design Premium can be used by anyone. With its many different tools and features, this app is a perfect tool for creating your dream home design. If you’re not that tech-savvy, each module has a wizard to guide you through your first steps in the program. The app offers high quality 2D and 3D rendering, as well as sizable library of objects you can add to your designs.

The Basics

Punch is a great home design software for users of any proficiency since it allows quick and easy access through its QuickStart feature. This wizard tool lets you load a premade template floor plan and then manually add rooms and objects as you progress with your design. All you need to do is drag and drop your desired content into a blank space on your floor plan and it will create your desired room. Punch Home & Landscape Design Premium lets you view your designs in 2D and 3D, and you can also choose the view you wish to work from - aerial or dollhouse. This app has one of the highest quality 3D views on the market so you can get a realistic view of your new home. You can also do a walk through your entire design to get a sense of what it would feel like walking in the finished project. In case you’re a little more proficient in home planning, you might find the frame view useful. This can come especially handy if you’d like to install some extra insulation so you need a clear view of the beams and studs. Once you finish your design, you can export your project in DXF or DWG formats, both compatible with CAD.

Interior and Landscape Design

Once you’ve finished laying out the floor, you’re going to want to fill those empty rooms. To start, you’re going to have to add a roof over your ground floor. Although some similar software doesn’t have it, Punch offers a roofing wizard that lets you put a roof over your home without much hassle on your part. Unfortunately, it does come with a flaw, if your plan isn’t rectangular or square, you’re going to have to align the roof manually, which can get a bit tricky. There are similar guides or wizards for designing doors and windows or setting up stairs. Adding electrical or plumbing plans isn’t too big of an issue either since the app has many helpful features. Although it has many useful features, Punch is missing a kitchen design wizard that would make designing your kitchen space much easier. This can be a drawback since kitchens can be particularly tricky to set up because of their intricate wiring and plumbing network. Nevertheless, Punch has an object library of more than 4,700 objects you can use to additionally personalize your design. You can choose from thousands of appliances, furniture, railings, tiles, fabric etc. 

Aside from the large objects library, with Punch Home & Landscape Design Premium you also have access to more than 4,000 different plants, trees, shrubs, flowers etc. You can add flowers yourself, or you can use one of the template flowerbeds and then edit them as you wish. There’s also a very useful vegetation progression tool that lets you see how each of the plants you’ve set in your garden will look when it reaches its full development stage.
