Coverage and Policy
Warranty Direct offers standard coverage. The company can extend your warranty to up to five years or 100,000 miles on your used car. The most basic plan covers the most essential parts like the engine, transmission and some other minor components, while more expensive packages offer comprehensive coverage. Once you choose your preferred plan, you’ll be given the option to schedule your payments over the course of 18 months. Since the premium plans can cost up to several hundred dollars per year, this is a great commodity. Aside from the compulsory (yet standard) down payment with every new contract, you’ll have to set aside only another $100 as a deductible in case your car ends up in the shop.
Warranty Direct offers the longest 60-day guarantee in our review. This means you can try out your new policy over the course of two moths and in case you’re not fully satisfied you will get your money back. Since almost all extended car warranty providers we looked at offer a 30-day money back guarantee, having an extra month to try out the service is an added commodity.

Warranty Direct doesn’t offer 24/7 customer support, nor can they be reached over the weekends. The only days you can get a hold of a customer support representative is during office hours Monday through Friday. In case you need to contact the company for any inquiries or questions, you can do so by calling or sending an email. Their site also has a FAQ section you can refer to for some simpler solutions.
However, when we did call Warranty Direct’s customer support as a part of our test, we were very satisfied with the level of professionalism our call was handled. The customer representative that took our call was pleasant and informative and he was more interested in explaining everything we wanted to know, than in pushing to make a sale.
