COMPLETE REVIEW

The Shiatsu foot massager from Miko is one of the most popular home massagers on the market today; it doesn’t break the bank yet it is pricey enough to be trust-worthy.

Miko has two more available models of foot massagers, the Shiatsu kneading foot massager, which is about half the price, and the 360 Shiatsu massager, which is the most expensive one ($235).

The Shiatsu foot massager we reviewed has the following specs:

  • Dimensions: 43 x 40 x 20 cm
  • Weight: 12 lbs.
  • Voltage: 110-240V
  • Fits up to size 12
  • 5 pressure levels
  • 15 minutes auto shut-off
  • 2 wireless remote controls
  • Deep kneading
  • Heat function

This foot massager from Miko was carefully designed and built, with attention to details. It has a modern, sleek look, it is relatively light and compact, you can easily store it under the couch when you are not using it.

It comes with a removable, washable, zippered cloth, it has simple controls and a small display that lets you see which setting you are on. And another useful thing: the Miko Shiatsu foot massager comes with two identical wireless remote controls that enhance even more your level of comfort, since you don’t have to keep on bending every time you want to change a setting or use the foot massager.

The remote is very straightforward, it just has a power option, the heat button and levels for adjusting the strength/pressure.

The Miko foot massager is not as loud as other competitors. It can be used by people with feet sizes up to 12, maybe even larger.

The control panel of the massager has 5 soft-touch buttons which are illuminated: on/off, kneading, pressure +, pressure -, heat.

The small screen bellow the buttons shows you how much time is left from your 15 minute session and also displays the pressure level.

The foot massager has a timer and shuts off automatically after 15 minutes of massage. This way you don’t risk overheating the machine, or fall asleep and forget the device on. You can always start another session if you don’t feel your feet had enough TLC.

The Miko massager uses air pressure, kneading, vibration and the 2 rollers on the bottom of the machine, to offer you a deep, relaxing massage. The heat function only adds to the benefits, although the temperature could be a bit higher.

You can choose between the different configurations and the 5 levels of air pressure, although you most likely won’t use the highest setting, as it is quite powerful and intense, painfully even, in our humble opinion. Even if you do want to use the strongest setting, it is recommended to start with the first level and work your way up, as you get used to the massager.

Although Miko states that this foot massager can accommodate people with feet up to 12 size, we think you can even go beyond that size. However, unless you have relatively small feet, your heel won’t be as pampered as the rest of your foot.

Overall, we consider the Miko Shiatsu to be one of the best electric foot massagers on the market. It is carefully designed, it is easy to store under sofas, easy to clean and operate and it is fairly priced.

Pricing

The Miko Shiatsu foot massager can be purchased for $169.99 and is actually on sale right now!
