SUMMARY:

The Beurer FM60 is a very minimalist German foot massager, with a simple but beautiful design. It is a Shiatsu massager with additional heat and uses 18 kneading massage heads. While it is not as complex as other Shiatsu massagers out there and only has 2 speed settings, it is still a very effective device, affordable, extremely easy to use and durable.

COMPLETE REVIEW

Beurer is a German company that specializes in health, beauty and well-being products. They manufacture a wide range of products, from air purifiers, dehumidifiers, to kitchen scales, snore stoppers, hair dryers and more. Beurer was founded in 1919.

Their FM60 foot massager is a Shiatsu foot massager which also has a heat function.

Here are the main specifications of the Beurer FM60:

  • Dimensions (L x W X H): 37.5 x 43 x 11 cm
  • Weight: approximately 6.6 pounds
  • Output: 50W
  • Type of massage: Shiatsu
  • 18 Shiatsu massage heads
  • 2 massage speeds
  • Heat function

Design

The FM60 is a really simple device, with no bells and whistles, but it looks elegant and solidly built. It comes in a glossy white and it only has 2 buttons on it. The power switch, on the back/top-right and the big mode button, on the front, in the middle.

The massager has 18 Shiatsu massage heads, 9 for each foot.

The FM60 has a soft, breathable mesh cover and adjustable rubber feet. There are 2 height settings to choose from, you just turn the rubber feet clockwise or counterclockwise to change the setting. The cable can be tucked underneath the massager, for a convenient storage.

The FM60 is easy to carry around, as it only weighs around 6 pounds.

The device doesn’t come with a remote control, but in Beurer’s defense, you don’t really need one for this particular model, as there aren’t that many settings to choose from.

The FM60 fits people with foot sizes up to 11.

Features and how it works

The Beurer FM60 is one of the simplest foot massagers you can buy. All you have to do is plug in the massager, press the power switch on the back and then the big button on the front, to switch between the speed settings and to activate the heat function. The FM60 only has two speed settings, low and high. When you press once on the button, you enter in the low-speed mode and if you press it again, you go into the high-speed mode. The high speed mode also activates the Heat function. If you want to turn the massager off, you press for the 3rd time on the button.

The heat function only works with the higher speed setting, which may not be to everyone’s liking.

Another disadvantage with the Beurer FM60 is the fact that it doesn’t have a timer, so you have to watch a clock if you want to know how many minutes you’ve been using the massager for. It is recommended not to go past 15 minutes per session. The massager won’t shut down automatically after a certain period, so you have to do it manually.

The Beurer FM60 might not be such a complex massager, with countless massage programs and features, but what it does, it does really well. The Shiatsu kneading massage heads have a real beneficial effect on your feet’s health. It focuses on the pressure points on your feet and helps you improve your circulation, relieve tension and relax not just your feet, but your entire body.

Pricing

The Beurer FM60 can be purchased for $55.
