The F4 (839379) Shiatsu with Heat is a foot massager produced by Brookstone, an American company based in New Hampshire. The company has been on the market for more than 50 years and commercializes a wide range of products, from audio items such as speakers, headphones, to sleep and wellness items (mattresses, pillows), fitness products, foot massagers and massage chairs, furniture and more.

The F4 Shiatsu foot massager, also known as 838379, is a great device with smart functions, auto programs and heat feature.

The F4 massager is great for people who suffer from diabetic neuropathy, who struggle with feet numbness and pain. It is also a good way to relax your feet after a hard day in uncomfortable shoes. While it may not have healing powers, it does offer pain relief, improves your blood circulation and relaxes your feet and your entire body.

While almost anyone can benefit from the soothing functions of the F4 Shiatsu, there are some people who shouldn’t use it (for instance, those who suffer from plantar fasciitis), so if you know you suffer from any condition that affects your feet, it is better to check with your doctor before using the foot massager.

The F4 from Brookstone uses deep kneading Shiatsu rollers and air circulation, which help in relieving tension and improving your circulation.

The controls are positioned on the bottom, in the middle. They are illuminated with a blue LED. You’ve got the power button, two buttons to control the intensity and 3 other buttons to switch between the auto massage programs. There is also an additional button for enabling the Heat function.

There are only 2 intensity settings are: H (high) and L (low). The auto programs are Pulse, Soothe and Energize. Unfortunately, there is no vibration massage.

Using the massager is as easy as it gets. You simply place your feet inside the 2 holes, preferably with socks, especially if your feet are more sensitive and you choose the desired program. You can set the intensity level for each of the 3 modes and optionally, you can also activate the Heat function. The Heat function is not as powerful as with other foot massagers, but it will help your feet relax even more and will boost your circulation.

The Brookstone F4 has a low noise level, which makes it possible for you to take it with you even at your work place, because you won’t bother others around you.

The high intensity level on the massager might feel a bit too powerful for some people, so you would be advised to start with the low setting.

The Brookstone F4 is definitely a useful device and will help you combat foot tension, pain and fatigue. The Heat function is a plus (although in other massagers it is a bit more powerful) and the fact that it has 3 massage modes to choose from is also a good thing. On the downside, this is a pretty expensive product and you can find these features in more affordable foot massagers.
