Design

The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless come in two color options: ivory or black. Their design is really attractive, stylish and premium looking. The headphones are foldable, they have stainless steel sidearms, a leather headband and comfortable earpads. The combination of metal and leather gives them a really elegant look.

Although they are not the most lightweight Bluetooth headphones you can find, the Momentum Wireless don’t feel heavy at all when you are wearing them or just holding them. Their collapsible design is a plus, as this way, the headphones need a much smaller carrying case when they are folded. A leather carrying case is included in the box.

The left earcup only houses the microphones and the controls are placed on the right earcup. On the right earcup you’ve got the power/Bluetooth discovery button, a micro USB for charging, the 3.5mm jack plug for when you want to use the headphones wired and another button that is multifunctional.

Performance

The Momentum Wireless are compatible with iOS, Android and even Windows devices.

The headphones have active noise cancellation, which kicks in right after you turn on the headphones. You should know though that there is no option to keep it enabled or disable it, you can’t control it. Also, the noise cancellation feature disables automatically if you plug in the cable and use the headphones in their wired mode.

Another useful feature of the Momentum Wireless is the aptX support, which really improves the way the headphones sound in their Bluetooth mode.

The Momentum Wireless have built-in voice notifications for when you pair them with your mobile device, when you turn them on or off and for when your battery level is low.

The headphones have a range of 33 feet. The integrated microphone is really good for phone calls and when you talk, you hear yourself in the headphones so you don’t have to scream or talk louder that necessary.

The sound of the Momentum Wireless is really balanced and detailed. You hear everything clear enough, without exaggerations or limitations. The bass in punchy and articulate, without being too loud and unrealistic, the mids and high frequencies are present and crystal clear.

The headphones are loud and have even a higher volume when you are using them with the cable.

When it comes to battery life, the Momentum Wireless are again praiseworthy. They have a playback time of 22 hours, which is quite impressive given that the noise-cancellation is always on. Charging time is average, with approx. 3 hours to fully charge the headphones.

The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless are a real treat for both your eyes and your ears, from appearance to performance and stamina. Everything about them is high-end, but unfortunately all these qualities come at a the steep price. However, you do get what you pay for, in a good way!
