Panda Security is definitely one of the big names in the antivirus software industry. Panda Antivirus Pro is an antivirus package with many useful features. When it was independently tested by AV-Test, it scored as highly as the biggest names in the industry (such as Kaspersky, Norton or Bitdefender) in the areas of protection and performance.

In recently conducted AV-Test trials on Windows 10 computers, Panda Security performed well above average at finding and stopping malware from harming the host PC. It achieved the same results when it came to differentiating between clean and harmful files, although it did slow down the host computer slightly during these tests. The antivirus software finds known and new threats and notifies you of the way it disposes of them. It will scan as deep as your IMs or internet browsers unless you instruct it differently. Every action Panda Security executes ends up as a report in the programs’ log, but this also can be turned off should you wish to. Instead of offering a rescue CD, Panda opted for a more practical rescue USB drive that can be created to use when your computer can’t boot because of an infection. This is a great tool that proves thinking ahead really does pay off. When inserting any new drives into your PC, Panda automatically scans it for any possible threats. As any big antivirus program, Panda Security has a gamer mode that allows you to play videos and games without interruptions. If you have other devices such as a mobile phone, Panda Security offers excellent protection for portable devices as well.

Panda Security performed very well in all tests measuring just how meticulously the software can detect viruses, block threats and deter you from malicious sites. While Panda does offer good antiphishing features as well as a great scanner for online fraud, there still is room for improvement in these areas. Its firewall is sound but it could be more user friendly. Even though Panda has full coverage on mobile devices, for some reason, there are some perks only available for Android users.
With a wide variety of ways to contact customer support, Panda has a very helpful site. If you want to try solving the problem by yourself there is a support forum with a blog as well as a big FAQ database. Phone support is only available during weekday business hours, but if you want the commodity of 24/7 support you can upgrade to the Gold Protection package that also includes remote access by technicians through live chat or phone support.
