Snapfish includes many printing services: from canvas prints and décor to photo gift ideas (mugs, pillows, blankets, office gifts, jewelry, accessories, bags, etc.), cards (holiday, graduation, invitations, weddings, birthdays) and of course, photo books.

With Snapfish you can make hardcover, softcover, layflat hardcover or premium layflat hardcover photo books.

Photo books can be in square or landscape format and come in different sizes: 5X7 inches, 8X8, 8X11, 11X14, 12X12. Photo books can have between 20 and 150 pages.

You have to be careful when choosing a certain photo book size, because not all covers go with any size.

The online editor is fun and easy to use. It is compatible with both Mac and PC.

Snapfish includes more than 120 templates and myriad backgrounds. You can choose between themes such as birthdays, weddings, travel and so on. The process of making a photo book with Snapfish is very simple and you are guided by the software all the way.  The help section is very comprehensive and offers you step by step instructions.

The editor allows you to resize, rotate or move pics and text placeholders, to crop or zoom. However, there are some functions missing and some limitations in editing. For example, you can only rotate your photos in 90-degree increments.

Another annoying detail is the fact that the backgrounds don’t have a ‘recently used’ option, so if you want to reuse a background that you liked, you have to search for it all over again.

There are also no photo effects or text effects included. Bold or italic are not available for all fonts. On the bright side though, you can type the text directly on your working page, and not in a separate window. This way you can see how your text looks like and how it influences your page design.

There is also an autofill tool which places all the photos for you.

You can upload your photos directly from your hard drive or from online sources such as Facebook, Instagram or Flickr. You can also share your photos or photo albums through email or social media channels.

Shipping

Snapfish claims it prints your photo book in max. 3 days and that the turnaround depends on the shipping method you choose. There is a ‘track your order’ option available and it can be partial or door-to-door, depending on the method you choose. You find out the total cost of your item once you place your order. When a product is shipped you receive a notification from them. Overall, the turnaround time could use some improvement. There are multiple complaints all over the Internet from customers disappointed by the long delivery time.

Shipping wise, you can choose between:

- standard shipping (USPS), which may take up to 8 business days (for processing and shipping) and only comes with partial tracking, meaning you can only track information from the shipping facility to your post office

- ground shipping (through FedEx or UPS), which  may take up to 6 days and comes with door-to-door tracking

- 2-day shipping (also through FedEx or UPS), which takes up to 5 days (3 for processing and 2 for shipping); this shipping method also includes door-to-door tracking

- overnight shipping (FedEx or UPS); this method ships your order in just one day, but you still may have to wait up to 4 days, if you take into account the processing time; overnight shipping also includes door-to-door tracking

If you want your order shipped outside of the United States, you can do so through the USPS Air-mail letter post.

Snapfish accepts international credit cards and payments with Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.

Shipments to Canada vary from 8 to 16 business days, from the moment when the order is placed. These however are just estimated figures.
