AdoramaPix is an online digital photo printing service that has been on the market for more than one decade. AdoramaPix is a division of the Adorama Camera company.
AdoramaPix accepts TIFF files and JPGs and it stands out mostly through its high quality printings.
AdoramaPix offers a lot of services, from photo book prints, to metal, canvas and wood prints, calendars, greeting cards and so on.
They offer photo books by occasion: family, weddings, panoramic, etc.
Prices vary based on size, paper and cover.
In terms of cover, you can choose between hard cover, leather-lux, genuine leather, fabric and die-cut.
They have a lot of available sizes, even though some common ones are missing, such as 11X14 or 8.5X11. But even so, you have plenty of options at your disposal: 6X4.5, 6X6, 6X7.5, 6X9, 8X6, 8X8, 10X8, 10X10, 12X6, 12X9 and others.
You can also choose between square photo books, portrait or landscape.
There are a lot of paper choices as well: luster, silk, linen, pebble, high gloss, deep matte.
The wide variety of sizes, paper and covers is one of the biggest strengths of this company. The prices are also competitive and the books are printed on real photo paper.
AdoramaPix allows you to sign in with your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ account, too.
The online service offers two creation modes: a quick and simple mode and a custom and flexible one.
The quick one allows you to make your photo almost instantly. In a matter of seconds, your photos are uploaded and automatically organized. Page layouts are built automatically and you can choose between more than 20 available styles and 4 sizes. This mode permits up to 300 images and 100 pages.
The custom & flexible mode includes more advanced tools and gives you a selection of over 50 professional designs. The layouts are fully customizable and you can choose between 16 available sizes. There is a rich-text editor and you can add up to 1000 images. You can also use their YouTube channel for helpful instructions and tips on how to use their software.
The software is compatible with both Mac and PC.
One disadvantage is the fact there is no flyleaf included. The flyleaf can prove to be a useful protective layer for the photos on your first and last page. If you want to add one, you have to pay extra for it.
You can import photos directly from your hard drive, from social media or sharing websites: Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, Google Photos, Amazon Photo, etc.
Although is not the easiest to use interface, it has a lot of useful tools and features. There are alignment lines that let you place your photos exactly where you want, there is a ‘fit to spread’ button that lets you create a two-page spread, a mirror spread option useful for duplicating a photo arrangement, there are over 6,000 available stickers, you can control the transparency of images, rotate, resize, borders, etc.
You can access older uploaded photos but be aware of the fact that they set an expiration date so you have to be careful with your settings, if you don’t want to have your images deleted after a while.

AdoramaPix ships to US and Canada. Photo books have a processing time of maximum 4 days (for leather photo books) and they offer several shipping services: economy (7-9 days), standard (4 days), premium (2 days), express (1 day) and international, for Canada (14 days).

Their cheapest photo book is around $15.99 for a luster, hard cover book of 6X4.5 (portrait) or 6X6 (square).

When it comes to customer support, AdoramaPix is in need of some improvements. Their ‘Support’ section only has FAQ and Video Tutorials options, but those are currently empty of content. There is another way you can reach their FAQ section, which is through the tab on the bottom of the page. You can find answers to product related questions, the product creation process, ordering and payment issues and there is also an AdoramaPix community.
There are also a phone number and email displayed, but no live chat option. Our overall impression was that their technical support is a bit dull.
