COMPLETE REVIEW

The company is headquartered in Hanover, New Hampshire. It launched its first photo editor in 2005.

With the help of their online software, you can create various memorable photo books. The software is user-friendly, so that anyone can manage to create a photo book with its help.

The available formats and sizes are landscape (8X6, 11X9, 14X11) or square (8X8, 12X12).

You can also order a die cut book, which can be linen hardcover, paper softcover, leather or Croc-embossed.

The photo editor is simple to use, but does lack some options that some competitors include. You can rotate, resize, zoom, place photos wherever you like, mess around with the contrast, brightness and saturation, filters, fonts (bold, italic, underlined) but there is only an ON and OFF switch for the drop shadow option. There is no holding area either, so if you want to reuse a background that you liked on another page, you have to search for it again.

They offer more than 60 themes to choose from and they are very easy to use as well, thanks to the drag and drop tool. There are over 40 available fonts. There is also an Auto Create option, if you’re not an expert in photo design, but you can also create a photo book from scratch, if you’re feeling up to it. If you go with the first option, the Auto Create will automatically place your photos into your chosen template.

You can upload your photos directly from your hard drive or from social media and sharing sites: Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, Google Photos.

In terms of printing quality, Picaboo is not the best on the market. There are some details to which they should pay more attention, such as the endpapers (they’re not glued evenly), image quality or photo placement (in some cases, they are not centered, even though you did your best with the editor).

Picaboo does offer 100% satisfaction guarantee, claiming that they will fix any errors you may find and cover the costs of sending you a new product. You have to address any complaints within 30 days from receiving your product.

Although they are a bit expensive, they offer all kinds of coupons and vouchers, so stay alert in order to take advantage of the best deals.

Picaboo has an app you can download, too, which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

The company offers international shipping. The shipping price for a medium classic photo book is $8,99.  If you want it delivered overnight, it will cost you $21,99.
