The Westinghouse WCM660B is one of the simplest and most straightforward microwaves you can buy. It is something you would get for your grandfather, because it is very easy to use and only has basic capabilities. It is really affordable, it is completely mechanical, small and lightweight.

The WCM660B is a budget microwave, simple, traditional, with no bells and whistles, just the basic features.
It comes in two available sizes and two colors. You can choose between the 0.6 or 0.9 cu. ft. capacity and color-wise, between black and white.

The WCM660B is a very basic microwave. It is small, lightweight and extremely easy to use, which makes it a suitable choice for both senior citizens who don’t know how to operate fancy, smart devices and students, because it is compact and easy to fit in any small apartment, dorm, etc.
As mentioned above, the WCM660B comes in either black or white. It is small, relatively lightweight, yet solid and durable. It only has two rotary dial controls, everything is manual, no electronic functions what so ever. You just rotate one of the 2 dials and choose your option and you are set.
The microwave also has a grip handle to open and close the oven door.
The controls are as straightforward as it gets: on the upper dial you have the 6 power settings: low, defrost, medium low, medium, medium high and high.
The dial under it has the time settings: ‘off’ position, 1 minute…and all the way up to 30 minutes.
After you choose a time setting and power setting you just wait for the ding which alerts you that your food is ready.
The Westinghouse WCM660B can be used for various purposes: from making popcorn to cook frozen foods, reheat dishes, warm your beverages and more.
The fact that this microwave is so simple also means it is easy to maintain and there are fewer components to break, as there are no electronic controls and smart features. You can also clean it easily and wash the turntable in the dishwasher.
On the other hand, if you want a smart kitchen appliance, with WiFi capabilities, voice control, dedicated app and other more complex features, then the WCM660B is definitely not for you. This is more like your grandpa’s microwave and it is only a good option for those who only look for the minimum in a countertop microwave.
