The Oclean X Pro Smart Electric Toothbrush is an electric toothbrush that uses advanced technology to clean your teeth, and does it with style. When you get the package out of the shipping wrapper you know right away it is going to be good. The box looks nice, feels solid, and has high-quality pictures and imaging. When you open it you can feel the care that has been invested into the customer experience. It is a great way to start the experience.
Once you open the box and see the toothbrush you will be excited right away to try it out. It looks sleek, stylish, and like a great toothbrush. Once you set it all up you will see that the customer experience has been the focus of the design of this product as it excels in several important areas.
The brush has sensors that detect plaque and tartar, as well as gum disease, and then sends a signal to the handle, which in turn vibrates. The battery lasts for up to 30 days, charges quickly, and doesn’t add a lot of weight for the user.
We were impressed by the quality of the product, and pretty happy with it in most aspects so please read the full review to see if it is the right fit for you and your dental hygiene needs.

When we opened up the shipping package we saw that this was no ordinary box. It had folds and images that felt and looked very nice. Inside the box was the following

Design and features of the Oclean X Pro Smart electric toothbrush
The Oclean X Pro Smart electric toothbrush is an electric toothbrush that looks like a top-of-the-line product with a lot of bells and whistles. Design-wise, the toothbrush is sleek and beautiful to look at. You can tell that the creators paid a lot of attention to how it looks. The model we got was a purple base with a gradient that transitioned to black from base to bristles. The official color was Aurora Purple, which captured its essence perfectly.
The charging base was also a very nice color so we can only speculate that the other colors would have the same level of visual appeal as ours did. A unique thing about the color that we got is that somehow it had a matte appearance while also including some type of shimmer, which we haven’t seen very much before. All we can say is that this model stands out, in a good way, from the generic white or black versions that Oral B and Sonicare usually offer.
The hand feel of the toothbrush is nice and light with the contour of the handle fitting easily into our hands. It has a good weight behind it, indicative of quality, but nothing heavy in your hand. This is probably due to the light weight of the battery as it can last for up to 30 days on a charge.
Speaking of charging, we will go on to the next unique thing that this kit offers which is the charging base. This is honestly the first time that we have seen a base that you can mount on the wall and allows the brush to be parallel to the wall. It is a cool feature for sure, and thankfully due to the attention to detail with the color and quality of finish, it doesn’t look weird having it hang beside the mirror.
The toothbrush is charged wirelessly when placed in a vertical position on the base. We will get to that in a bit but it does charge quickly and gets the energy supplied to the base via a USB cable, which can make it a great option for traveling.
Another benefit of using this toothbrush is that it comes with an option to connect via an app to your phone for customization of your cleaning. We did not install the app, as we test all devices based on the possibility that the user might not have anything extra. So what comes within the box is what is used. However, we did take a look at the app and can see that it would provide value to someone who could use it.
Now that we have gone over the look of this beautiful toothbrush it is time to get down to the important details. How did it work?
According to the spec sheets the toothbrush gets around 84,000 movements a minute via a Maglev Motor. What does that mean? We could get into what a Maglev Motor is but that doesn’t matter really, what matters is what it means for you. The benefits of this motor type are that it has a very smooth movement, without using a lot of energy, and can produce a level of movement. This is why, when you expand the name, it makes more sense as it is a Magnetic Levitation Motor.
In our testing, we found that it provided more than enough to get great cleaning, and not lose very much power at all. This is how they can provide such a long charge for a light battery.
The next thing that we noticed is the head of the toothbrush. The bristles are made of high-quality DuPont nylon and are gentle on teeth and gums. While you might be thinking all toothbrush heads are similar this just isn’t the case. And with the head, we were provided we could notice that the grooves of the bristles helped to reach the back of the molars and in between the teeth. They were probably some of the best feeling bristles we have tested, as they were firm enough to clean but gentle enough to avoid irritation. Another nice add-on was that the back of the toothbrush head had a textured rubber piece that felt like it was cleaning the inside of your cheek a bit.
The final aspect is one of the newer things that we have seen on electric toothbrushes and this was the LED screen on the handle of the equipment. The Oclean X Pro Smart has a nice and clear screen but also allows adjustments of the modes via swiping on it. Once you are done cleaning it will show you how well you cleaned your teeth and also if you missed any spots.
Things that we liked about the Oclean X Pro Smart
As you can tell there are a lot of really great features with this toothbrush. To summarize we liked how it looked, as it is easily one of the nicest electric toothbrushes we have reviewed. The monitoring of cleaning areas was a great feature if you find yourself rushing or sometimes missing parts of your mouth.
It charged up pretty quickly and held a charge well in our testing so is a good choice if you wanted to take it on a trip. The bristles cleaned our teeth well and there weren’t a lot of complaints about the cleaning job it did. The fact that it is waterproof put our minds at ease when we mounted it parallel to our sink on the wall.
It did also have 3 modes which we found to be more than enough for the everyday person. We preferred the whitening mode as we found it seemed to move the fastest and provide the most efficient clean.
Things that we found challenging with the Oclean X Pro Smart electric toothbrush
While we did enjoy the cleaning job this setup provided there were a couple of drawbacks that we encountered. The first was that, although waterproof, it wasn’t a great choice in the shower or to be used with wet hands. As beautiful as the paint is on the handle it doesn’t lend itself well to grip. There is a bit of texture but we are sad to say that it was dropped a couple of times. There was no ill effect on it, which shows good durability, but it is something to keep in mind if you have a weak grip or might be a bit clumsy.
The delicacy of the toothbrush was brought up again with the LCD screen and swiping to change the modes. For some users, it will be greatly appreciated, but for others, it might be better to stick with a model that only has buttons for feedback.
The only other thing that we would change came down to the base. As great as it is for stylishly holding the toothbrush, it was equally disappointing to have it come with a white USB charging cable. This cable stuck out like a sore thumb when backdropped against the beautiful shade of purple and black that the toothbrush came to us in. It should be noted that there is no charging plugin provided so you must have something to plug the USB cable into to power the charger.
It would also have been great to have an additional toothbrush head included as many of the competitors come with at least 2 heads, compared to the 1 in this package.
The only other drawback would be that as good as it might be for traveling as it charges via USB cable, is that it doesn’t come with any travel kits or accessories. This is to be expected at the price point but does lose some points in the overall review for our team as it would require another purchase if someone wanted to travel and use an electric toothbrush while they are away from home.

Things that we liked about the Oclean X Pro Smart

Overall review
The look of the actual toothbrush and base are cleanly executed. You can tell they want this toothbrush to look at home in the most modern and fashionable bathrooms.
The one, very unique thing that we found with this setup is that it has a wall mount system. At first, we were a bit hesitant to try it out as we thought there was no way to safely have the toothbrush supported by its base off of the wall. But in our tests we had 0 drops getting into the base, and 0 drops while it was in there. So while it is unique, if space in your bathroom is at a premium this might be a great option for you.
The screen on the toothbrush is clean and very clear; again you can see that they have the customers' best interests as there are no corners cut when it comes to the quality.
We think that this is a great option for newer, younger users, as the app seems to add value, and the clean and clear, swipeable screen, comes to the younger generation as second nature. However, for those who didn’t grow up with a smartphone, we found that it was a bit problematic as it didn’t feel as natural as clicking on a button.
For the target audience, we think that this is a great product, with some of the nicest finishing touches that we have ever seen. So if you are one of those people who loves apps, the ability to customize everything, and having the latest and newest technologies in all aspects of life this is for you. If you just want an electric toothbrush that gets the job done within minimal options, and don’t care how it looks then there might be better choices out there for you.
