One of the best things about the KitchenAid KMT4116CU is its beautiful, elegant and simple design. The toaster comes in several colors so you can choose one that goes with your décor. The toaster has really large slots, a removable crumb tray and all the basic features, including a Keep Warm button, Bagel and Frozen buttons.
KitchenAid is a reputable American company, on the market since 1919. It specializes in kitchen appliances and it began as a stand mixers manufacturer. It is currently owned by Whirlpool Corporation. In addition to blenders, coffee machines and so on, they also have some popular toasters and the KMT4116CU is definitely one of them.
The KMT4116CU is a 4-slice toaster with a beautiful design and 2 extra-long slots that can accommodate several types of bread. Although it was released in 2015, it is still appreciated today, thanks to its attractive design and simplicity.

Design
The KMT4116CU toaster is available in several colors: almond cream, contour silver, onyx black, empire red.
The design is elegant and modern, the toaster is both large in dimensions and minimalist in terms of controls. It has 2 large slots, which are 10.25-inch long and 1.5 inch wide. The metal construction and housing conveys durability and a plus of style. The housing is smudge resistant and the toaster comes with a removable crumb tray, which makes cleaning it really easy. It is also dishwasher safe. The tray is spring loaded and removing it is an effortless job.
Another useful thing about the design of the KitchenAid KMT4116CU is that underneath it has a place to store the power cord when you are not using the toaster.
The KMT4116CU has a high lift lever so you won’t struggle with removing smaller slices.
Features
The KitchenAid KMT4116CU has a big knob for the shade settings, which are 7 in number. It also enables the reheat function of the toaster and the Cancel function. Under the shade dial you’ve got 3 more buttons: Bagel, Defrost and Keep Warm. They also have LED indicators.
We really like the Keep Warm feature on toasters, and the fact that the KMT4116CU 4-slice has it is a plus in our opinion. The Keep Warm feature keeps your bread/bagel/etc. warm for up to 3 minutes after it was toasted.
The heating elements in the toaster get hot quickly and the long slots allow a variety of breads and bagels to fit in. When your toast is ready, you will hear a sound alert.
When it comes to the performance of the KitchenAid KMT4116CU toaster, the overall results are satisfactory. Your bread might get a bit burned on the edges when you only place one slice of bread into the slot, but we’ve come to realize this is a quite common issue among toasters. If you put 2 slices into the slot, you won’t have any problems.
Bagel mode works really well on the toaster and the frozen one is decent, too, although the latter is not that powerful, it will only give a light shade of brown to your frozen bread.
Overall though, we really liked the KitchenAid KMT4116CU. It is a bit pricey but it is a really good looking toaster, simple yet beautiful and it has all the features you can look for in a toaster.
