Firstrade in an online stock broker allowing you to trade in bonds, stocks, mutual funds and options. It has all the tools and features needed for smooth trading. One of its main selling points is that it offers extended trading hours which means you can make trades before the market opens (8:05 a.m. to 9:25 a.m.), and before it closes (4:05 p.m. to 5:25 p.m.).

Interface and Features

The online stock trading platform is very simple and clean looking. The content is organized in two columns. The first one holds your account information and here you can keep track of your balance, order status and other important information. This section also holds your charts and analytics you can easily move around and rearrange by dragging and dropping in your desired place. Another convenience is that you can choose to see more than one account it the same window. The second column is where you can keep track of the market. Here you can view the most important info on the stock you’re monitoring, as well as view the market’s gains and losses. Having two separate columns with different functions is highly convenient. For a quick access to trades and information, you can use the bar on the bottom of your screen. This feature allows you to make trades without leaving the window you’re currently on.  Aside from the online platform, Firstrade also has a free mobile app developed for Apple and Android devices. Although they don’t have the full functionality of the desktop platform, you can still make trades or monitor your account.
