AXVoice is one of the most reputable VoIP providers in the country right now. The company that launched the VoIP service works both within the US borders and in Canada. The service is useful for both individuals and businesses alike, because the company offers services that cater to both.

VoIP as a technology

Voice Over The Internet Protocol has revolutionized the way people communicate. Since the internet has taken over our lives in roughly every aspect, it was only logical for communications to align to the trend. The way VoIP works is by using the internet to send and receive signals (calls) using the internet instead of telephony.

For the signal to be able to travel via internet, it must be first converted to digital and then sent. The signal will later be converted back to analog, once it reaches its recipient.

These packets of data signals may consist in audio, photo, video or text.

VoIP can work with the help of special VoIP phones, which can be classified in several types: desk phones, IP conferencing, wireless or softphones.

Softphones are really popular nowadays, because they don’t consist in any hardware parts. A softphone is a software that you can use to communicate through VoIP. There are some really renowned examples of softphones and you’ve most likely used at least one of them until now and didn’t even realize it: Skype, Viber, WhatsApp and many others.

Softphones are an important reason why VoIP is such a popular communication technology, because it can be a true cost saver and you can even use VoIP with just your laptop, a subscription to a VoIP service and a headset, you don’t need to invest in anything else if you don’t want to.

Versatility is another plus with VoIP, compared to landlines and so is flexibility, because with VoIP you can call from anywhere in the world, as long as you’ve got internet access and a subscription to a VoIP service.

The most important benefits and features of AXVoice

AXVoice has a rich set of features to offer to its customers, over 30 in total. These VoIP features are available to all the customers, regardless of the plan they choose. AXVoice does not limit its clients in terms of the features they have access to, but rather in the number of minutes it includes, which vary from plan to plan.

The most important features included with AXVoice are: music on hold, call forwarding, caller ID blocking, 3-way calling, call waiting, distinctive ring, simultaneous ring, anonymous call rejection, blacklist, enhanced voicemail, call logs, softphone support.

Unfortunately, there are some missing features in AXVoice’s offer and video conferencing is one of them.

But overall, this company does offer some appealing features: international calling, the option to get a virtual or a toll-free number, softphone support, are just a few. The fact that AXVoice doesn’t limit you in terms of features and you get the same features whether you are subscribed to their most affordable or their most expensive plan, is another plus for this VoIP service.
