COMPLETE REVIEW

3dcart offers various pricing plans, tailored for everybody, from small businesses to enterprise e-commerce and agencies as well.open laptop, ecommerce, view, 3rd cartThis ecommerce software offers free 15 days trial with no credit card details required. They also have a 30 days money back guarantee. 3dcart works based on a monthly subscription and you don’t need to sign any contracts, but if you do sign up for at least one year, you will get a 15% discount. There are no additional taxes and you also don’t have to pay any transaction fees. What you will need to pay though, is the fee to your payment gateway, if you want to process credit card transactions.

All plans include free domain registration and unlimited online storage. You are limited though to the bandwidth usage. For example, the Starter plan has a limit of 4GB, so your higher resolution images and videos might load slower. If you exceed the set limit, you have to pay $5 for each additional GB.

With 3dcart you can sell on Facebook, or connect your online shop to eBay, Amazon, Shopzilla and others.

If you decide to sign up with 3dcart, you will be assisted by a live rep through phone and email. He will help you with the basic configuration aspects. You can also opt for the aided onboarding, if you are willing to pay $399, which is not exactly cheap.

The interface is not the best we’ve seen so far. It may look a bit confusing and cluttered, especially for beginners. You do have all the main sections such as descriptions, images, categories, pricing, shipping, keywords, etc., but the product pages don’t look as organized and user-friendly as with Shopify or BigCommerce. You have to read the support docs in order to understand how to properly use everything, such as setting up the price, how to use the discounts editor and others.

3dcart includes over 60 themes that are mobile responsive. You can also purchase 42 premium themes with prices from $129 to $199. If you are comfortable with codes and design, you can customize your store anyway you desire, using the HTML/CSS editors. The templates are catered to various industries and look pretty different from one another.

3dcart allows you to sell digital products too, such as e-books, mp3s and so on. There is a module that lets you easily attach digital files.

One special feature that isn’t found in all ecommerce software is the built-in blog feature. You don’t have to work with a blog platform, unless you prefer WordPress (but 3dcart integrates with Wordpress, too) and you can easily add content to your site.

There is also a CDN (content delivery network) with 3dcart, meaning your store can be available on multiple servers, so customers can chose the closest server to them.

In terms of payment options, this platform offers more than 160 options, so rest assured you will have no problem with finding the payment method that suits you best. You can choose between accepting credit cards, checks, cash, money orders and so on. Shipping wise, the platform integrates with FedEx, UPS and others.

If you want to add discounts, you have to know that you can’t set bulk discounts, you have to add them for each item individually. There are also no options for limited time discounts, so that’s a bummer.

3dcart is PCI compliant and uses 256 bit SSL encryption. For a higher security there is also a fraud detector available. You also get a free SSL certificate and there is free daily backup included for all your store files.

Other useful features that come with 3dcart are: the ability to sell in-person with the help of their POS app, the ability to sell on multiple channels (you can sync with Amazon, eBay and so on), the CRM tools that let you administrate your mailing lists, the inventory management and monitoring for low stock products and so on.
