1-VoIP is one of the most renowned VoIP service providers on the market today. The company has been on the market for more than 40 years. 1-VoIP started to offer VoIP services only in 2005 but has grown into a popular and appreciated provider.

How much does 1-Voip cost?

1-VoIP offers both Residential and Business VoIP services.

Residential plans

There are 3 residential plans to choose from: Value, US & Canada Unlimited and World Unlimited.

Value is their most basic plan and it is billed at $8.97/month.

US & Canada Unlimited is priced at $17.97/month.

The most expensive residential plan offered by 1-VoIP is World Unlimited, priced at $23.97/month.

Extra phone numbers for the residential plans will cost you $2.95 more per month.

The cheapest residential plan includes 500 minutes to North America and the most expensive plan comes with unlimited calls to 30 countries worldwide.

Business plans

The Business plans available with 1-VoIP are: Metered, Professional, Corporate.

The Metered plan is $14.97/month/extension.

The Corporate plan is $24.97/month/extension.

The Professional plan is $34.97/month/extension.

All plans have access to all the VoIP features offered by 1-VoIP, but with Metered, you pay for what you use (2 cents/minute). With The Professional plan you get a lower starting cost, while with the Corporate plan, you get a lower monthly cost.

No commitment is required with any of the 3 plans.

In addition to these 3 plans, you can also opt for a customized plan, tailored specifically for your needs. You have to request a quote first, by contacting them via phone or online, through the online form.

Features and benefits of 1-VoIP

1-VoIP includes pretty much all the features you can ask for. They offer SIP trunking, they have a great uptime (99.999%), you get number porting and over 40 features:

  • Call waiting, configurable caller ID, call parking, digital call forwarding, call pickup group and pickup extension
  • Call recording
  • Virtual fax
  • Voicemail
  • Custom music on hold
  • Extension to extension calling
  • The Nomorobo feature, which stops unwanted telemarketers and robocalls and has over 7,194,000 calls filtered
  • Auto attendant
  • Intercom
  • Paging groups
  • Blacklisting and more

While the set of features seems comprehensive, there are however some features that are missing and some of these shortcomings can be real deal breakers, especially for businesses, which need them more. One missing feature is video conferencing and another one is SMS. There is also no mobile app available with 1-VoIP.

Overall though, 1-VoIP is a good VoIP service to consider and it does compensate through its top-notch customer support, month to month pricing and the no commitment policy.
