A car is a costly investment. And while you do get a standard warranty with your shiny new vehicle, just like with any good thing in life, this one also ends. That is why you should always look for a backup safety measure.

Here are 3 of the best extended car warranty providers you can find in 2018:

Endurance. Endurance offers a variety of coverage options and it is one of the most transparent providers on the market. The company has four available plans and you can easily access online each of their sample contracts. Nothing is hidden from potential customers. Endurance works with Wesco Insurance and you can choose between the four coverage plans depending on your car (its model, mileage, etc.). All plans will cover the car’s engine, transmission and other important parts and even more, with their Supreme Coverage option.

EasyCare. EasyCare is somewhat a controversial provider, with pros and cons. One of the best things about EasyCare is that they have a wide variety of coverage options and that your coverage starts right after you sign with them (the very next day). This is indeed an advantage, considering that with other companies, you have to wait for 30 days. Another good thing about EasyCare is that their insurer is Universal Underwriters Insurance Company, a highly rated insurer. On the downside though, EasyCare is very restrictive when it comes to requirements and a lot of owners with older cars and lots of mileage won’t qualify for their plans. To be more specific, EasyCare covers only vehicles under 2 years old and which have under 24,000 miles. Among the features worth being mentioned, are rental car reimbursement ($30/day, up to six days, in case your car needs to go in the shop), roadside assistance and the possibility to choose the location where you want your car repaired. Regardless of the plan you choose, you can pay monthly, over a period of 18 months.

Autopom. Autopom is another great option when it comes to extended car warranties. One of the best things about it is the fact that it pretty much covers any type of car, not just newer ones. Autopom accepts cars that have up to 225,000 miles. This company offers up to 5 years of coverage and your car can be even 20 years old. Autopom also covers Canada, it has 5 plans to choose from and it asks for a $200 deductible in case your car needs to be repaired. Autopom also reimburses you in case you need to rent a car while your own car is in the shop. They will reimburse you for up to 5 days with a rental car, for the amount of $35/day. When it comes to the ‘cons’ of Autopom, one of them is the fact that their customer support is not 24/7, like with other competitors. You can reach them via email or phone, but only during business hours. Nevertheless, the fact that you have 5 coverage plans to choose from and you can benefit from their extended car warranty even if you own an old, still makes them one of the best providers you can find.
