Internet faxing has taken the world by storm and it is now being implemented everywhere in the world. Regular consumers as well as businesses have recognized its benefits and online fax services have never thrived more.

If you are in the market for an online fax service, you have to consider a few things first:

  • Do you need the service for individual needs?
  • Do you need it for your office?
  • How many faxes do you need to send on a monthly basis?
  • How much money are you willing to invest?
  • Do you need cloud storage for your faxes?
  • Do you need a mobile app?

These are just a few factors to have in mind before signing up for any service.

Which are some of the best internet fax services to consider?

RingCentral. RingCentral is one of the most popular online fax services available on the market today. The company that offers this service is based in California and it is also renowned for its VoIP services.

When it comes to internet faxing, RingCentral has two plans to offer: FAX 1500 and FAX 2500. They used to have two other plans (FAX 750 and FAX Unlimited) but they are no longer available.

RingCentral’s plans are subscription-based and you can choose to pay for them monthly or annually. If you go with the latter, you’ll get a discount and you can save up to 33%.

The FAX 1500 plan is priced at $22.99 per month with the monthly billing option and $17.99 with annual billing. This plan includes 1500 fax pages per month and 1 shared fax number. In case you exceed the number of free pages included with the plan, you have to pay an additional 4.9 cents/page.

FAX 2500 is the other available plan. It will cost you $59.99 per month with the monthly billing option and $49.99 per month with the annual billing option. This plan includes 2500 fax pages per month and 1 shared fax number. In case you exceed the number of free pages allotted per month, you have to pay an additional 3.9 cents per page.

RingCentral also offers a mobile app or you can send faxes via your desktop computer. There are also integrations available with Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and more.

HelloFax

HelloFax is an internet fax service offered by HelloSign. What is great about this service is the fact that it is among the few ones that also has a free plan to offer. Another benefit of HelloFax is the fact that it lets you send international faxes at no extra charge.

HelloFax is very serious about security and uses SSL encryption. The service offers US fax numbers, Canada numbers and UK numbers.

There are four plans included with HelloFax: the Free plan, Home Office, Professional, Small Business.

The free plan includes 5 free pages. However, you should know these are 5 pages in total, NOT per month. With the free plan you can only send faxes, not receive.

Integrations, cloud storage and international coverage are available with this plan.

Home Office is the most affordable paid plan offered by HelloFax. It costs $9.99 per month or $8.33 with annual billing.

This plan includes 300 fax pages per month. With this plan you also get email to fax and multiple fax recipients. You can also receive faxes.

Professional is the next available plan and it is priced at $19.99 per month (or $16.67 with annual billing). This plan includes 500 fax pages per month and has all the benefits included in the Home Office plan, plus the possibility to port your fax number.

Small Business is the most premium plan offered by HelloFax. This plan is priced at $39.99 per month (or $33.33 with annual billing). With this plan you get 1000 fax pages per month and all the benefits included in the other plans: fax number porting, multiple fax recipients, email to fax, secure cloud storage, the possibility to edit and sign your faxes, integrations and more.

TrustFax

TrustFax is an internet fax service offered by J2, a communication company that owns other popular online fax services such as eFax, MyFax, MetroFax.

TrustFax operates in all 50 states and offers both local numbers and toll-free numbers.

There are only two plans available with TrustFax: a monthly one and an annual one.

The monthly plan is priced at $12.99 per month.

The annual plan is priced at $10.83 per month.

Both these plans include 300 fax pages per month and if you exceed your limit, you have to pay 0.10 cents per additional page.

TrustFax also offers cloud storage for your faxes. You can securely store your faxes in the cloud for 30 days for free with this service and if you want to keep them for a longer time, you can do so, for an extra fee. The cost for a fax to be stored is 0.03 per month. However, if you opt for the annual plan, you get free cloud storage for an entire year.

For an additional cost, you also get international faxing to more than 200 destinations.
