We all know what an electric toothbrush is, but we don't realize that it is a relatively new invention , and some still don't know why they are better for your teeth and gums when compared to the age old bristles on a stick that we've been using for a lot longer. I will fully admit that I didn't use an electric toothbrush for much of my life, and always asked myself, how much better could it really be? When I first got my first Oral-B I still resisted it and kept using my old and trusty "manual" toothbrush as that is what I was raised on and knew. I know you're probably thinking that this is some crazy story but after the first real cleaning I did I was really shocked by how clean my teeth felt. It was like I had just come out of the dentist office and there was nothing but a clean feeling in my mouth. 8 years later I still had it , but the battery would only last 1 single brushing and need to charge for a couple hours; so I broke down and bought a double Sonicare package from Costco. Now this was a whole new feeling, almost like when I changed from my old toothbrush to the Oral-B! This thing just vibrated up and down at a speed that was just not comprehensible. This was a whole new level of clean, but it was just too much power so it was still my second favorite... now you're probably asking why does this matter?
The reason that it matters is because before someone gave me the toothbrush I always laughed at the cost, or crazyness of needing an electric toothbrush as all I knew was the free ones the dentists would give me.
