Driver Software

Introduction

A driver is the one thing that connects your Operating System to your hardware. Without it, no matter how powerful the hardware that you plug into your computer, the OS won't be able to recognize it. That's why a properly updated driver would contribute a lot to the overall stability and performance of your PC.

But updating all the drivers on your PC is a very time-consuming task. And if you don't know what you're doing, you might even cause more harm than good. Therefore, the best option is to use a dedicated driver updating tool, such as Driverfix.

But before you commit your hard-earned money to any of Driverfix's subscription plans, you might want to know how to install Driverfix, how to use it, and how to uninstall it as well. This brief article will answer all of those questions for you regarding if you should use DriverFix to update your drivers.

What is Driverfix

As mentioned before, Driverfix is a Windows OS driver updater tool that can find and check every driver that is installed in your system and find the correct and latest update for them all. Driverfix is a one-stop solution to all of your driver-related problems.

Driverfix works in three simple steps. First, it would scan your system to find any drivers that need to be updated. After that, it would look for the latest version of those drivers from its massive driver database. Finally, you could simply download the update files, and once finished, install them, and then you're done.

But not only that, Driverfix is also equipped with tons of other features that go beyond just updating your drivers. You can directly download them from Driverfix and you can also download multiple updates at once. Other than that, there are also advanced features such as schedule updates and driver backup.

How to install Driverfix

After you decide which subscription plans that you think would suit you the best, you can immediately download Driverfix. Driverfix is a lightweight program since it is only several Mb in size. That's why it shouldn't take a long time to finish the download process.

You can choose where you want to save the downloaded files, but if you leave it to default, then it usually would be saved to the "Downloads" folder on your computer. After the download process has been completed, open the download folder and look for the Driverfix installation file.

Once you find it, simply double-click the file. There will be an installation wizard popup. Follow the prompts to install the program. You could leave everything as default or you could also change some things if you want. But if you're not sure, then it's best to leave it as is.

The installation bar should appear. It shouldn't take long to complete. Once everything is done, simply click finish, and you're done. There should be a Driverfix shortcut on your desktop. You can click that icon whenever you want to start the program.

How to use Driverfix

Assuming you've already purchased a license, when you open up Driverfix for the first time, head to the "License Key'' section to activate your product. Only after doing this first then you could fully use all the features of Driverfix.

After you've done activating the program, the process to update your drivers is quite straightforward. First, head to the Scan section and click the "Scan" button in the middle of the program. How long it takes to scan everything is highly dependent on the state of your computer, but usually, it should be done in a couple of minutes.

When Driverfix finishes scanning your system, you will be presented with the list of drivers that need to be updated. You can choose to update one of them, several of them, and even all of them at the same time. After you decide which one that you want to update, Driverfix will download the update files from their database.

When the downloads have been completed, head to the "Updates center" section. There you will find all the downloaded update files. Now, all you need to do is simply install each and every single one of them. When the installation process is done, you could simply close Driverfix.

How to uninstall Driverfix

Just like with any other Windows OS program, there are generally two ways you could remove Driverfix from your PC. The first one is by using a paid program such as Revo Uninstaller. The second one is by using Windows OS's own program removal tool.

The first option would give you a thorough removal since it would also look for any possible leftover and even any changes in the registry. But it does require you to pay for it. That's why for basic removals, most people simply use the one from the Windows OS.

If you want to uninstall Driverfix with the Windows own removal tool, then first head to your control panel. In the control panel, look for the option to "Add/remove program", or "Uninstall a program", depending on the version of your Windows OS. When you click it, it will open a new window consisting of the lists of every program that is installed within your PC.
