VoIP services, which is short for Voice Over The Internet Protocol, are taking over the world and are being used by more and more people, whether it is for individual purposes or in a business setting.

There are several benefits VoIP technology has, compared to traditional telephony. The first one is cost cutting, in terms of monthly bills, hardware and set up costs. With VoIP, you can set up your system by yourself, with no assistance. And when it comes to hardware costs, you get the option to use a VoIP phone, offered by the service you sign up for, or to use just your computer/smartphone, as long as the VoIP service has softphone support.

You also save money with VoIP in terms of monthly bills, even if you want to make long-distance calls. They are no longer expensive as it is the case with landlines, because with VoIP, calls are made through the internet, so it doesn’t make such a big difference.
