What are the benefits of VoIP? Why should you switch to VoIP?

VoIP has many advantages on regular telephony. The most obvious and appreciated advantage is cost, which is significantly lower with VoIP than with landlines. VoIP uses the internet to make/receive calls, which means your bills won’t be as high as for regular telephony which charges you for the entire infrastructure; landlines are high maintenance and long-distance calls can be really pricey. VoIP can also help you save money on hardware, because you can use just a softphone and your computer if you want.

VoIP can also be more flexible than regular telephony. You can use VoIP services from anywhere in the world, if you have access to an internet connection.

VoIP is also more versatile and lets you send text, images, video.

Another benefit of this technology is that it can be more efficient than regular telephony, because it uses packet switching instead of circuit switching and it doesn’t need physical wires; that means that the data is transmitted back and forth in real time, without wasting any data.
