The benefits of voice over the internet protocol as a communication technology are no longer a mystery. VoIP is replacing landlines at a global level, in both the individual and business settings. VoIP services are more versatile and flexible, they cost considerably less money both in terms of monthly bills and in terms of setup and hardware expenses. They offer the possibility to use them with just your smartphone if you want, so that you don’t have to invest in additional hardware such as a special VoIP phone. All you need is for your VoIP service to offer softphone support.

How good is AXVoice?

AXVoice is a VoIP service provider that offers residential VoIP plans, business plans and international plans.

The company that launched the service operates in both the United States and Canada.

What features do you get with AXVoice?

One great thing about AXVoice is that it includes all its VoIP calling features with each of its plans, regarding of their price. There are over 30 VoIP features offered by AXVoice. Here are the most important ones:

Outbound call features:

  • Music on hold
  • International call blocking (you can block calls to destinations outside the United States and Canada, to make sure you don’t over pay)
  • Caller ID blocking
  • 3-way calling
  • E911 support
  • 7, 10, 11-digit dialing
  • Alternate calling ID

Incoming call features:

  • Caller ID
  • Call filter
  • Call waiting
  • Blacklist
  • Distinctive ring
  • Simultaneous ring
  • Anonymous call rejection

There are some more advanced VoIP features offered by AXVoice as well, such as: softphone support (you can make VoIP calls on your smartphone by downloading a softphone software), call logs, enhanced voicemail, free in-network calling (you can make as many VoIP calls to other AXVoice numbers without charge).

There is of course room for improvement when it comes to the features offered by AXVoice, as some of the features you find in other competitors are missing, such as video conferencing for instance. But overall, this is a very competitive service, appealing both in terms of pricing and VoIP tools included in its offer.
