What are the features and benefits of Sfax?

As we’ve already mentioned it, one of the biggest strengths of Sfax is the fact that it is a very secure and private service. This company places a lot of importance on making their customers feel safe using their service. Sfax comes with:

  • flawless data center and system security
  • it uses full 256-bit TLS encryption and 2048-bit private keys for all documents and data in motion
  • data is protected at rest with 256-bit AES encryption
  • automated session time-outs
  • two-factor authentication

Other features included:

  • this online fax service offers annotations and digital signature
  • fax API that lets you create your own custom integrations
  • print to fax (available on Windows and macOS devices)
  • Support for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as comparable OpenDocument file formats and Rich Text Format. Image files supported include JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIF. It comes along with normally supported TXT and PDF
  • Local and toll-free numbers as well as the option to port your phone number
  • The ability to download all your faxes with the download service option (however, this option is only available with the most expensive plans: Contender and Enterprise)

Another useful feature of this internet fax service is its mobile app, although there is a drawback here: the app is only available for iOS devices. The mobile app lets you compose faxes with image capture, you can reply to a fax, you can forward a fax, access your files from the document management system and more.

The mobile app also comes with activity tracking, strong encryption and TouchID, for a more secure and a quicker sign on process.

Another praiseworthy feature of Sfax is its customer support. Sfax offers customer support by live chat, phone and through their contact form. The US-based phone support is able to answer 8 am through 6 pm CST on business days.  Alternatively, you can reach out Sfax on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The resource center consists of a searchable resource help desk with thorough guides and tutorials. The Scrypt YouTube channel provides a few video tutorials and webinars as well.

Why should you switch from traditional faxing to internet faxing?

Regardless of the service you want to opt for, you should be aware of the benefits of using internet faxing over traditional, telephone-based one. There are several advantages online faxing has over the conventional one:

  • It is more affordable and helps you cut your expenses; you don’t need to buy fax machines, paper and other consumables such as ink, toners, etc. You don’t have to pay a professional to install the system either, you can do it by yourself
  • It is less harmful for the environment because it is a paperless technology so fewer trees will have to be sacrificed for paper production
  • It is more versatile, flexible and easier to use. Sending an internet fax is similar to sending an e-mail and you can use online fax services from anywhere in the world as long as you have an account with an online fax service and an internet connection at your disposal
  • You can port your phone number
  • Most online fax services also offer mobile apps
  • You get to save space with internet faxing because you no longer need to store bulky fax machines in your office
