TrustFax is an online fax service developed by a company that has been around for more than 24 years. TrustFax is currently owned by J2, a corporation that also owns other internet fax services such as eFax, MyFax, MetroFax. J2 offers all kinds of digital media and internet services.

TrustFax offers local numbers in all 50 states, toll-free numbers and international faxing as well. This service offers a simple, straightforward pricing scheme, based on subscriptions.

Because it is a web-based service, TrustFax doesn’t require any phone line or fax machine in order to work. All you need is to subscribe to one of their plans, have a reliable computer and internet connection and you’re all set.

What are the plans offered by TrustFax?

There are 2 plans available with TrustFax: a monthly plan and an annual plan.

The monthly plan is priced at $12.99 per month.

The annual plan is priced at $10.83 per month ($129.90 per year).

There is also a free 30-day trial included, so you can test the service before deciding on a certain plan.

What features does TrustFax offer?

TrustFax includes 300 fax pages per month (sent and received). If you exceed the page limit you have to pay $0.10 per additional page.

There is also cloud storage included for your faxes for 30 days, after which you can either delete them or pay $0.03/message/month, to continue keeping them stored. However, customers who opt for the annual plan offered by TrustFax benefit from cloud storage for an entire year.

As we’ve already mentioned it, TrustFax offers local numbers in all 50 states and toll-free numbers as well. TrustFax also offers international faxing but you have to pay an extra fee, because this feature is not included in the plans. It is quoted per minute and you can send faxes to over 200 international destinations.

Just like most online fax services, TrustFax also includes digital signature.

TrustFax supports all the common file formats, including: Word, Excel, HTML, PowerPoint, JPG, PDF, TIF, GIF, PNG, SNP and more.

This service allows you to send faxes directly from the MS Office interface.

Another useful feature offered by TrustFax is the fax to email feature.

As far as security goes, you can rest assured because TrustFax is a secure internet fax service that comes with password protection.

How to get started?

TrustFax has a quick and simple setup process. All you have to do to be able to use this internet fax service is to sign up, opt for one of the two plans and login each time you want to send a fax.

There are some disadvantages with TrustFax as well.

TrustFax doesn’t let you the keep the number you get from them, after you cancel your subscription with their service. You can only use the number they give you for as long as you are a client.

TrustFax doesn’t offer a mobile app, which can be a deal breaker for some people. We now rely on our smartphones for pretty much anything these days, so everything has to be mobile friendly in order to stay competitive.

Why should you switch to internet faxing?

Faxing changed dramatically as a communication technology since it was invented, more than 170 years ago. The internet makes it possible for us to send and receive faxes now without even using a fax machine. There are a lot of terms used to describe this new and improved technology: internet faxing, online faxing, digital faxing, virtual faxing, e-faxing, web-faxing and others.

Here are some of the most significant reasons why you should switch to online faxing:

Online faxing helps you save money; it cuts down on your expenses and helps you save a lot of money you would otherwise spend on hardware, paper and other consumables; you don’t have to pay for a telephone service either.

Internet faxing is much more flexible than traditional faxing, because it offers freedom of movement and lets you send and receive faxes from anywhere in the world, as long as you’re subscribed to an internet fax service, you’ve got a capable device and a reliable internet connection.

You get to be more responsible towards nature and our environment; online faxing is paperless, which means you save trees from getting cut for paper production.

Most internet fax service providers are mobile-friendly and offer mobile apps, which means you can send and receive faxes by simply using your mobile phone.

It is easier and quicker to send a fax over the internet than with a fax machine; all you have to do is send an email and attach the document that you want to fax to the email.

Internet faxing helps you save space in your office, because you don’t need to occupy your desks with bulky fax machines and store folders of papers all over your office.
