If you are thinking about switching from traditional faxing to online faxing, good for you! It means you’re probably aware of the benefits of internet faxing (or digital/online/web/cloud/virtual/e-faxing, whichever you prefer to call it).

Internet faxing reduces your costs considerably. On one hand, you don’t necessarily need a fax machine in order to send a fax. On the other, you don’t need ink and toners, paper and other consumables either.

Internet faxing doesn’t require special installation and you can set up everything yourself. All you have to do is choose an online fax service to your liking, subscribe to a plan, receive your fax number (local, toll-free, etc., or you can port your number) and have a stable internet connection. The process of sending a fax over the internet is pretty much the same with sending an email to someone. The document to be faxed has to be attached to the e-mail and that’s it. You can send internet faxes from your computer or even smartphone, depending on the service you are using.

There’s also the environmental factor to consider and you are helping nature by using online faxing, because it is a paperless technology, so fewer trees will get cut.

In case you haven’t decided on a particular online fax service just yet, you might want to consider Nextiva.
