Beautiful, healthy hair doesn’t just happen. It takes a lot of attention and care on your part. Everything influences the way your hair looks, from your haircut, to the shampoo you are using, the blow dryer and technique you are using when you dry your hair, the way you shampoo and the frequency with which you wash your hair and so on.
Another important factor on this list is hair treatment. Using a regular and adequate hair mask contributes a great deal to a healthy, glowing hair.
And you don’t even have to spend time and money on salons to do that. You can go DIY and prepare your own hair masks, in the privacy of your home. Here are some easy to make recipes:
Egg hair mask recipe. The egg hair mask is among the easiest and most popular hair masks you can try. This mask will make your hair shiny and soft. You need one raw egg, the squeezed juice from half a lemon, a cup of milk and 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Apply the mask on your hair and leave it for max. 20 minutes, then rinse. The lemon will remove any excess oil in your scalp, milk will soften the hair and the olive oil will hydrate it and give it a healthy glow. As for eggs, they are miraculous ingredients that are good for any type of hair: oily, frizzy, dry. Thanks to their high content of protein, eggs make your hair stronger and smoother.
Beer, almond and egg hair mask. For this recipe, you will need a raw egg again, half a cup of beer (let the beer sit for a few hours before making the mask) and a tbsp. of almond oil. You should leave the mask on for approx. 30 minutes and then rinse. Beer is very good for hair because it strengthens it, it fights dry hair and it leaves your hair shiny. Almond oil is also good for your hair because it is full of vitamin A and vitamin E, and we’ve already explained to you the benefits of eggs.
Coconut mask. It requires a tbsp. of honey and a tbsp. of coconut oil. The mix has to be heated until it melts. You let it cool and then you apply it on the hair. Leave it on for approx. 20 minutes then rinse. Coconut oil acts as a great conditioner for your hair and it also makes your hair stronger, thus less prone to breakage. Honey is also an anti-breakage ingredient and it removes impurities from your hair.
Avocado mask. We all know a thing or two about the great and numerous benefits of avocados. But they aren’t just great in your salads, but in your hair, too. Avocados are very efficient for people with frizzy hair, dry hair and they also strengthen your hair. Moreover, they give a healthy shine to your hair. For this particular recipe, you’ll need one avocado, 2 raw eggs, 1 tbsp. of coconut oil and one tbsp. of honey. You simply mix all the ingredients and apply them on your hair. Leave the mask on for max. 20 minutes then rinse.
