Ihoment Photo Frame update 2022

Welcome back to our update for one of the first products that we did our reviews for, which are the Digital Picture frame products.  We, at one point, had about 10 different ones setup around the house with all the apps on our phones and continually updating and testing them. So now here we are a year and a bit later we thought it would be great to update one of the products that we still use which is the ihoment frame.

The ihoment Photo Frame also features a sleek design that fits into any décor scheme and adds a touch of style wherever it’s placed. While it has been a bit of time since we posted an update about this picture frame, we thought it would be great to do so, because we are still using it and are still really impressed by it. So check our updated review on how it has stood up to the test of time around our house.

This picture frame is made by a company based out of China called Govee, which has a pretty good history of producing high-quality ( and long-lasting) electronics.

We were honestly surprised that it was as good of a product as it was, for the price point we bought it at.

We also really liked how the app made it easy to upload images. There was no need to convert or modify any of the pictures we uploaded, making it a good gift for people who aren't technically inclined. 

So when it comes down to what we look for with an electronic picture frame it comes down to a couple of points. The quality of the image, how the frame looks, how easy it is to use, and finally he cost.
Overall the benefits of this model got pretty high rankings in each of these aspects. It was easy to setup, easy to upload the pictures, and the frame was a nicely finished look that didn't stick out. 

We would say that, while it wasn't a top 3 choice in our reviews, it is still a really high quality product for its price point. This is why we still gave it a 9/10 in our iHoment review , which is not bad at all. It is just some of the other ones had a bit higher quality screens... but also came with a higher price tag. 

Installing the new ihoment photo frame is a simple process that anyone can do. This stylish digital picture frame adds personality and charm to any living space while displaying your favorite photos in a fun, modern way. With just a few easy steps, you'll be up and running in no time.

To begin the installation process, make sure your ihoment photo frame is plugged into a power source and then download the app for your phone or tablet. The app will walk you through connecting the photo frame with Wi-Fi and setting up an account so you can begin uploading pictures from your device. Once connected, simply select which photos you'd like to display on the screen by dragging and dropping them from within the app onto the ihoment display. It's really that easy!

Now this is the part that you have all been waiting for and that is how our team thinks the product has stood up in comparison to other products that were on the market when it was released, as well as newer products that have since been released.

So let's break it down to the two different aspects of the update. The first aspect is how is it still doing in our house? To be honest, it is great. We haven't had any issues with it, the app is still working and the pictures still look good. We haven't dropped it or anything so as far as durability goes it is still a pretty good choice in our books.

Now we move onto how it would compare to current models of similar products. This is where it does lose a bit of its luster, as there have been more products that have been released that we would say surpass what this frame offers. This is no slight on the ihoment photo frame, rather a testimant to how far technology comes. It's like if we compared a 1 year old computer to a brand new one. It is just very hard to stay current with how fast new technologies are coming out, as there are always going to be faster processors and clearer screens.

With their minimalist design, simple setup, and variety of sizes, these frames make a great addition to any living space. Adding pictures of family and friends is an easy way to bring life into a room while also adding personalization and a breeze with their app; with the only downside is needing wifi to upload the pictures.

As we said, the frame still looks great and isn't out of place at all. So the product still gets a thumbs up from us, but if you had the option to buy it at the MSRP versus a newer option, we probably would suggest getting the newer options just because the screens are generally getting clearer and brighter. But this does give you a chance to pick this up as a second-hand purchase, and if you can get a good discount on it we wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
