The gaming experience has improved tremendously over the years and with all the 4K video, HDR gaming, Xbox One, PS4 Pro and so on, it is no wonder that gaming is becoming more and more addictive. It all looks and feels just too damn good!

Choosing the right TV for gaming is no easy task. You have to know what to look for and there are several factors to consider, from smart features, to color gamut, contrast, viewing angles, performance, screen reflectance and more.

Here are 5 of the best TVs for gaming in 2018:

LG C7. Although launched in 2017, the LG C7 still remains one of the best options this year too, when it comes to gaming. It comes in both 55” and 65”, it is an OLED TV with a 4K resolution and an amazing picture quality. It has a very high contrast ratio, active HDR with Dolby Vision, great, deep black levels and very little, to no motion blur. The C7 has 4 HDMI ports, 3 USB ports, one Ethernet and built-in WiFi (802.11 ac). The 55 inch version will cost you around $2,000.

Sony X900E. The Sony X900E is a more budget-friendly option, but it is still capable of delivering a great picture and it is packed with plenty of smart features. The TV comes in several sizes: 49, 55, 65 and 75 inch. It has great HDR capabilities, a wide viewing angle, Alexa support for voice control, a 120Hz native refresh rate and Motionflow XR for fast action scenes with no motion blur, a huge selection of available apps and more. The price for the 65 inch version is $1,500.

Vizio P Series. It is a mid-range option when it comes to price, but it packs high-end features and has a premium quality. The Vizio P is available in 55, 65 or 75” and has an impressive response time. It is very bright, has a good contrast ratio and some great ‘high-end’ features, such as great local dimming, black frame insertion and more. The 65 inch version of the Vizio P goes for approx. $1,300.

Samsung MU9000.  The MU9000 follows the KS9000 model, and just like its predecessor, it is a real hit. Samsung rarely disappoints when it comes to picture quality in its devices. The MU9000 has an astonishing image quality, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Digital Plus sound, 4L color drive extreme, 4K HDR extreme, 4 HDMI inputs and 3 USB ports, built in WiFi and more. The price for the 65 inch version is approximately $1,800.

TCL 55R617. This is among the best options on a budget when it comes to gaming sets. This TCL model is LED based, has a screen size of 55 inches, has a great contrast, HDR functionality and wide color gamut, a great performance and comes at a very affordable price: $585 for the 55 inch version. However, if you opt for the 65 inch screen size, you’ll have to pay $1,000.
