TurboFloorPlan Home & Landscape Deluxe is one of the easiest home design apps to master. Since it offers many tutorial videos as well as a QuickStart wizard that guides you through the making of your floor plan, it’s very suitable for novice users. It has some unique features and it comes at a very affordable price.
We decided to include one more TurboFloorPlan Home & Landscape product since it’s an amazing piece of design software and it’s simple enough so that anyone can use it. This Deluxe version offers many professional level design tools at an affordable price.
The Basics
Like several other 3D home design apps we reviewed, TurboFloorPlan Home & Landscape Deluxe also has a QuickStart menu to help you with your first steps in laying out the plan to your new home. You can either choose between the 45 sample floor plans, or you can try making your own with the help of the wizard. The QuickStart menu lets you drag and drop rooms you’d like to add or remove from the floor plan, as well as customize them as you’d like. The app also lets you import plans you found online or the one of your home. As you progress with your project, you can just as easily customize it by adding rooms, furniture or appliances. With TurboFloorPlan Home & Landscape Deluxe you can switch between your 2D and 3D plan so you can get a better picture of everything on it. Also, instead of choosing between these two viewing positions, you can keep the both open so you have a complete overview of your design until that point. The app also comes with its signature Build Green button that allows you to plan for solutions that are more eco-friendly.
Interior and Landscape Design
Once you have your floor plan ready you can start filling it up. TurboFloorPlan Home & Landscape Deluxe has an objects library with more than 4,700 objects such as appliances, furniture, lighting features and such. Although adding these items onto the floor plan itself is not very complex, there is an apparent lack of a design wizard which would make the process even easier. This type of help feature can be especially useful when you’re designing your kitchen since this is the area that often requires complex plumbing and electrical solutions.
Using this app you can create a garden, or design your yard with all the amenities you’ve always wanted. The landscaping tool lets you manipulate topography by creating hills or ravines, as well as water areas or Zen gardens. The large objects library has many outdoor furniture and appliances you add to your design in order to create the yard of your dreams. Aside from the objects library, this app also holds a plant library with more than 1000 different vegetation. You can choose between some template flowerbeds or you can create your own. All shrubs, trees, flowers and hedges can be customized so you’re getting exactly what you’ve envisioned. Since privacy is of paramount important to any homeowner, the fencing feature allows you to border off your property from any nosy passers-byes with a fence you designed.
