TrustedID has its ID Essentials plan, which can be individual or for family.

The Individual plan costs $14,99/month or $10,42 for an annual subscription. The plan includes 3 bureau credit reports, scores and monitoring, lost wallet protection, fraud alerts, junk mail reduction, one million dollar insurance in case of ID theft and SSN, credit card number, name and address scanning.

If you decide to go with their Family Plan, it will cost you $27,99/month or $20/month, with an annual subscription. This package comes with all the benefits from the Individual Plan and can include any member of your household (spouse, child, parent or any relative). The credit reports and scores from all three bureaus are limited to 2 adults.

If you are not fully determined to sign up with them, you can try them out for free, with their free 14 day trial. You do have to give them your credit card details though, in order to benefit from it.

The sign up process is quick. You can sign up within minutes and start protecting your ID right away.

One drawback we’ve seen, feature wise, is the fact that the service doesn’t monitor criminal or public records, as other competitors do.

TrustedID doesn’t include driver’s license or passport information and also doesn’t check for unauthorized loans that may have been taken in your name. Moreover, if you sign up for their Family Plan, only 2 adults are entitled to view their credit reports/scores. The other adults enrolled in the program will only benefit from SSN monitoring, bank accounts monitoring and a few more.

However, the service does compensate with a useful feature that many competitors don’t include, which is mail-list removal. This reduces the amount of junk mail you receive (for instance, pre-approved credit card offers).

One other cool feature of TrustedID is their Facebook privacy monitor. The service scans your profile for information that may get stolen, which is a useful thing, since a lot of users often reveal  more than it is necessary about themselves. After analyzing your profile, the feature will give you a risk scale. You can be at low, medium or high risk of having your ID stolen and you can make proper adjustments based on the alerts you receive from them.

In order to better understand your risk of being an ID theft victim, TrustedID came up with an Identity Threat Score. Your risk of becoming such a victim is measured on a scale from 0 to 500. Zero obviously means you are safe and 500 means you are at maximum risk. In order to calculate the risk they search for millions of database records, private or public and then analyze the data they found.

In case your ID gets stolen, you are covered by their 1 million dollar guarantee, which includes any expenses that come with restoring your identity: legal fees, application fees for new credit and so on. They will also assist you throughout the entire process, assigning trained experts who can help you.

One other special feature of TrustedID is the CreditLock. With this feature, you can freeze your credit from all three bureaus, anytime you want. This way, your files can’t be accessed by any person or company.

They also have a feature that is useful for businesses: data breach defense. In case of any data breaches, companies can protect their employees or clients. This feature basically reduces the chances of stolen data being used by criminals.

Fraud alerts are also useful. You can use them for all your credit reports and this way, third parties that want to make any decision based on your reports are required to verify your ID before forwarding any new requests.

Notifications and alerts can be sent through email and by text, if you require so.
