It has many basic and advanced tools and features available with different plan options. With its impressive uptime record, Nextiva is a reliable phone system for small businesses.
We decided to recommend Nextiva in our review of phone systems for small businesses because of its many features aimed to help smaller companies which operate in multiple locations. Nextiva is a cloud-hosted system that can be used in several different places, yet managed from a single online hub.
Nextiva has a mobile app that can be installed on any Android or iOS device. With the app, employees can transform their mobile devices into their business phones and make use of most features the use on their desktop phones. The app allows the users to make and receive calls from their business line as if they were sitting in their offices.
Features:
The Nextiva Office phone system comes in three plans that differ in price and features. The prices mainly depend on the number of employees covered and if you’ve opted for the 3-year contract.
The basic, Office Pro plan supports up to four users, it comes with unlimited minutes and it has several basic functions like voicemail, voicemail-to-email, on-hold music, online faxing and more. Without a 36 month commitment, the plan costs $34.95 per month for each user, while with the contract, the prices goes down to $32.95 per month, per user. The median, Office Pro Plus plan has all the features the basic plan does plus a few more advanced ones like a professional greeting message, conference calling, online presence feature and more. For businesses with up to four users, without a 3-year contact, the plan costs $37.95 for each individual employee, per month. If you do sign the contract, the price drops to $35.95 per user, per month. The costliest and biggest plan is the Office Enterprise. Much like the previous two plans, the Enterprise has all the basic features as well as call recording, the exclusive Nextiva Anywhere feature and three professionally recorded greeting messages. For companies with up to four employees, the plan has a recurring monthly fee of $44.95 without the three year contract, with the contract the price drops to $42.95 per month, per user. Only additional costs you can expect are if you want to use the voicemail to text transcription or buy additional call center licenses. The use of the main supervisor board is also charged $70 per month.
Nextiva Office is a cloud-hosted VoIP phone service that doesn’t require any intricate equipment or installations. The maintenance and the hardware is located on Nextiva’s end, all the user has to provide is a stable high-speed bandwidth and IP phones. The system is very easy to set up since it only requires the users to plug their IP phones into Ethernet ports, once the service has been activated. If you have active users across several locations, the system automatically synchronizes them so they can be controlled from one online platform. With over 20 million users worldwide, Nextiva has an outstanding uptime record of 99.999 percent. The company achieves this high level of reliability thanks to its multiple data centers across the country. The system functions so that in case of a failure of one of the data centers, it switches onto the next operational one.

We found Nextiva’s customer support to be helpful and very pleasant. To test the company’s support system we called and posed as owners of a small business in need of a new phone system solution. The representative we spoke to was happy to answer all our questions about pricing, individual plans, features and some more detailed inquiries about call centers and toll-free numbers. The employee then went on to explain which plan should be best for our specific situation and he informed us of the option of using the system without a contract obligation.
You can reach the support service via phone, live chat or email on weekdays during office hours, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additionally, you can check out Nextiva’s site because it offers many useful articles, guides, a FAQ section and tutorials.
