Introduction

Virtual Architect Ultimate’s 10th edition retains most of the simplicity and ease of its previous versions. Its difference is its incorporation of better rendering tools and more responsiveness in its features. The application still has a straightforward and simple home designing process.

Virtual Architect Ultimate is one of the most popular home design apps. This is because of its design that prioritizes easy usage by removing complicated tools and putting different types. It is made for both amateurs and professionals given the simple tools it has which can create the most complicated and intricate designs.

The application was made by Nova Development US which also creates apps for photo editing, CD burning, and more. Virtual Architect Ultimate is currently in its 10th version.

Landscape and terrain

You can also design the outdoors of a house. First, you can design your garden with the aid of their plant encyclopedia which contains information about thousands of shrubs, flowers, and plants. Through this, you can place the plants where they will receive optimal sunlight. Information such as weather, soil needs, and water requirements are also listed.

Aside from this, you can also put the different hardscapes such as gazebos, benches, and banisters. You can also put pools into your design.

There are also a lot of objects available for the landscape which helps accommodate the different needs of home designers.

Upgrades from the last version

As mentioned, the application is currently in its 10th version. Because of this, there were a couple of key differences from the previous one.

The first difference is that it has a better final rendering product. Here, you can view your design with the appropriate lighting and details. The new version displays this better because of its incorporation of realistic backdrops and its more detailed materials for the building.

The application is more convenient to use because it comes with a search tool.

Among all the functions of a home design app, the final rendering is the most resource demanding. This is because it needs the most RAM for loading the objects and video card resources for shading and details. Because the 10th version improves rendering, older computers may have difficulty in using this tool. We recommend users to have at least 8 GB of RAM and at least two GB of dedicated graphics.

We also noticed that the different tools of the application became easier to use and much more responsive. For example, the window and wall placement tool easily clicked into place upon a single click. The tracing tool was also more stable and accurate when used to follow the measurements of a blueprint.

Pro/Cons

Conclusion

Virtual Architect Ultimate is still a very good choice for easy home designing. Its tools are intuitive and come with a lot of guides for users to easily understand it.
