Toco Warranty is a renowned vehicle service contract provider headquartered in California, with an experience of more than 6 years in the industry. The company operates in almost the entire country, except for Alaska, Missouri and Washington.

Toco Warranty offers vehicle service contracts (VSC) in all the states except for California, where it offers mechanical breakdown insurance (MBI).

Depending on the plan you opt for, Toco Warranty has specific requirements in terms of car age and mileage. In California, it only covers vehicles that are less than 10 years old and have up to 70,000 miles on them. For the rest of the states, the requirements are less strict (as you’ll see below).

Regardless of the type of coverage you opt for, there is a standard waiting period of 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. Only after that, you can use your vehicle service contract.

What do you get with Toco Warranty?

Depending on the covered parts/systems, Toco Warranty offers 4 types of plans: Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, with the Blue one being the most basic plan and the Orange being the most comprehensive one.

The Blue plan has the most attractive eligibility requirements. This plan covers vehicles that are as old as 1999 and have a mileage of up to 175,000 miles.

The Blue plan covers the engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, turbo/supercharger, electrical, cooling system, air conditioning and fuel system of your car.

The Green plan and the Yellow plan have the same requirements. They both cover vehicles that are from 2010 or newer and have up to 100,000 miles on the meter.

Both plans cover the following: engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, turbo/supercharger, electrical, steering, air conditioning, cooling system, brakes, fuel system. The Green plan also covers the audio system of your car. The Yellow plan on the other hand, adds the technology and modern features packages to the mix.

The Orange plan is the priciest and most complex coverage plan offered by Toco. This plan covers cars that are newer and have a lower mileage. Only vehicles that are from 2015 or newer are accepted and they can have up to 60,000 miles on them.

As far as coverage goes, the Orange plan covers the engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, turbo/supercharger, air conditioning, cooling system, electrical, fuel system, brakes, steering, suspension, electronic high tech, technology features and modern features.

Just like with most extended car warranty services, Toco also charges a deductible, but it is a decent one of only $100. Moreover, you can even benefit from a generous 50% discount on this amount, if you opt for a car repair shop in Toco’s network. However, you are not limited to their locations, you can take your vehicle to any repair shop in the country, but then you’ll have to pay a $100 deductible instead of a $50 one.

Another great thing about Toco is that it doesn’t charge a down payment, as it is the case with some competitors.

All four plans offered by Toco include some standard benefits such as: around the clock roadside assistance, trip interruption coverage, rental car benefits.
