Extended Auto Warranty contract in front of car

Introduction

Extended car warranty services are an extension of your original warranty with the difference being that you buy it from a third-party service. This means that it does not come from the original manufacturer. Because of this, you are given a wide variety of choices to choose from when it comes to contract prices, coverages, and more which can adjust to your budget and your current vehicle. It is advised for most users to purchase one to ensure that they will not be liable for any mechanical breakdowns.

Protect My Car coverage options

Currently, Protect My Car offers three policies which is not many when compared to other brands. Fortunately, their offers don't need to be many as we have found that most car drivers will fall into one of the plans they offer.

The Driveline Plan gives protection for vehicles in between the age of 4 to 10 years. Vehicles which have travelled more than 80,000 miles are accepted. They will then be given coverage that lasts for only 5 years and up to 125,000 miles which is quite plentiful knowing that older vehicles tend to get worse coverages from other service providers.

Next, they offer the Select Plan which is only for vehicles that have travelled for more than 50,000 miles. Being a mid-tier plan, it is usually recommended for those who are not eligible for their last plan which is Supreme but has a vehicle that is not too old for Select.

Last is the Supreme plan which is very similar to an original car manufacturer plan and is their equivalent of a bumper-to-bumper plan. This is mostly recommended for vehicles that are approaching their end of original manufacturer warranty or those which have freshly ended their original warranty.

In terms of pricing, all of their plans have a deductible of $100. However, they differ in terms of the actual coverage of their plan which is expected as older vehicles are more prone to suffering from vehicle issues.

The Supreme plan offers protection for the parts of engine, transmission, drive axle, cooling system, and almost all parts of the vehicle. As the plan becomes cheaper, their included parts become lesser. For example, the Driveline Plan does not include the Front and Rear Suspension, Select Brake System Components, Turbo Charger, and Navigation.

Additional features of Protect My Car

Aside from payment for breakdowns for any important parts of the vehicle, users are also given additional features to make their payment worthwhile.

First, they have a roadside assistance feature that can be contacted 24/7 for any emergencies that you may encounter in the middle of the road. Included here are cases of losing gas in the middle of the road, having your tires deflated without any back-up, and being locked out of your car.

Next, they can also reimburse you for the rental car that you will be purchasing in case your car is being repaired. This makes sure that you can do your daily activities with the use of a vehicle.

One of the best features of Protect My Car is that they have a flexible payment plan. This allows users to pay for their plans from 36 to 48 months to make it more compatible for many budget plans. This is one of the lengthiest months for paying compared to other companies which makes it advisable for many customers. They also have a 30-day money back guarantee in case you are not satisfied with their conditions and terms. They promise this to be a hassle-free process that can make refunding your payment very easy.

Conclusion

Protect My Car is a simple service that offers a small pool of plans (three in total) that may be enough for a lot of users. They have a lot of features like flexible payment plans, rental car reimbursements, and more that makes it friendly for a lot of users.
