But in August 2019, another giant tech company called Broadcom Inc, acquired the enterprise security software division of Symantec for $10.7 billion. Soon after that, Symantec officially changed its name to NortonLifelock Inc and moved its headquarter into Tempe, Arizona.

• Identity and Social Security Number alerts. Lifelock would constantly monitor the web and if there's any suspicious activity that used your identity and your social security numbers, Lifelock would immediately send alerts to notify you about it.

Another type of financial incentive that you'd get from Lifelock is in the form of compensation for any personal expenses that might occur because of the identity theft crime. Again, the number is varied depending on your chosen plan, but the range is still between $25,000 to $1 million.
  
  
• Coverage for lawyers and experts. Lifelock would also cover any expenses on lawyers and experts that you might need in order to present your case in court. For this particular feature, every plan has the same coverage of up to $1 million.
  
  
• Dark web monitoring. Lifelock would continuously monitor the dark web in case your identity is up for sale in any illegal marketplace there.
  
  
• US-based identity restoration specialist. To further assist you in restoring your stolen identity, Lifelock would assign a restoration specialist that would help you resolve the problem as soon as possible. 
  
  
• 24/7 live member supports. Once you become a member of any of their plan, Lifelock has 24/7 live supports where you can inquire about anything at any time. 

• Affordable price. LifeLock has four kinds of plans that you can choose from. The variety of the feature you'd get is different depending on your chosen plan but even their most basic plan, the standard, covers all the basics needed to secure your identity. The standard plan would cost you a meager $8 per month, but if you chose to pay it annually the price will drop to just $7 per month. Their most expensive and comprehensive plan, The ultimate plus, only cost $19,99 per month for the annual option. But the best bang for your buck is their Advantage plan that would give you almost every features you'd see in the ultimate plus plan and it would only cost you $14.58 per month. 
  
  
• Security for PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets. Thanks to Lifelock being bundled with the Norton 360 security, for every plan other than the most basic plan, you'd also get a secured and world-class protection for your devices. The amount of protected devices is different depending on your chosen plan.
  
  
• Virus protection. The protection that I mentioned above would also include protection against viruses and malware that could wreak havoc on your devices.
  
  
• Cloud backup for Windows PCs. Another neat feature that you'd get in the higher plans is the cloud backup. This feature only available for Windows-based computers and the size of the storage would also vary depending on your chosen plan.
  
  
• VPN for PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets. To even further increase your security, for the top two plans, you'd get to use a VPN for your devices so that you can browse the web privately and securely. Once again, the number of connected devices is vary depending on your chosen plan. 

Yes, you should buy Lifelock. The threat of identity theft is real and it's hard to reverse the damage once it's happened to you. Having Lifelock as a means to alerts, protect, and solve the matters afterward would be a huge relief for you. 

As I mentioned before, even the most basic plan would give you the necessary features that you'd need to protect yourself against identity theft. But if you could afford to set aside a bit more money, then I suggest you choose either of the top two plans.

Both of them are still very much affordable and you'd get the full features of both Lifelock and Norton 360 security with those plans.
