Background check services are a great solution for those interested in finding out information on various people, including themselves. While a lot of the online services are not FCRA compliant and can’t be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment and the like, they are still useful because they work as public records search services.

You can use background check services for a lot of purposes, such as:

  • Finding out the addresses, phone numbers, date of birth of someone
  • Their social media profiles
  • Their aliases
  • Their potential relatives
  • Criminal records
  • Educational and employment background
  • Whether it appears in sex offender databases
  • Their driving records
  • Their bankruptcies
  • Their assets
  • Marriage and divorce records and more

What is TruthFinder?

TruthFinder is an online background check service that works based on subscriptions. It is not FCRA compliant, which means you can’t use the service for the purposes mentioned above (employment screening, credit eligibility, tenant screening).

TruthFinder offers both standard and premium, more complex reports. It offers accurate and updated information and it is an affordable service.

The reports are very organized and easy to read because the information is displayed in a timeline.

TruthFinder offers mobile apps as well and they are compatible with iOS and Android devices.

How much does TruthFinder cost?

You can opt for one of the two subscriptions offered by TruthFinder: their one-month subscription and their 3-month subscription.

The 1-month membership costs $27.78/month.

The 3-month membership costs $26/month.

These plans allow you to run unlimited standard searches for the specified period of time (one month or three months).

The standard reports offered by TruthFinder include information such as: contact information, including addresses and phone numbers, the date of birth, social media profiles, educational and employment history, census data, sex offender databases, known aliases, criminal records and arrest records, possible relatives.

However, if you want more comprehensive profiles on the people you’re searching, you should opt for TruthFinder’s premium reports. These reports include additional information such as driving tests, assets, business affiliations, bankruptcies, weapon permits, drug tests and more.

For a premium report, you have to pay an additional $17.47.
