Samsung has an undisputable reputation on the electronics market. It is among the favorites when it comes to phones, TVs, washing machines and many more.

Their products are modern, smart and loaded with attractive features, regardless of the item.

Samsung AddWash is one of their most popular washing machines on the market, thanks to its complex features and capabilities.

Samsung AddWash is a front-load washing machine with a capacity of 5.0 cu. ft. It is available in white and black/stainless steel.

The AddWash has a really attractive, futuristic design and the following specifications:

  • Size: 27 x 38 ¾ x 34 inches (W x H x D)
  • Weight: 238 lb.
  • 0 cubic feet capacity
  • Energy consumption: 105 kWh (Energy Star Certified)
  • Spin Speeds: Max. 1300 RPM
  • Wash Cycles: 14
  • Internal water heater
  • Self Clean+
  • WiFi Connectivity

At 5 cu. ft., the AddWash can do up to 3 laundry bins in a single wash, so if you have a large family or you know you produce a large amount of laundry, you should definitely check out this washer.

The WF7500 is called ‘AddWash’ because of its second door positioned on the front, which is smaller than the main one and allows you to open it and add more laundry that you might have forgot to throw in initially. You can do that even if the wash cycle has already started. However, there’s an issue with this door: you still have to pause the machine before you open it, which pretty much makes it useless. On the other hand, Samsung explains that this door is more easily accessible than the big door, which you have to wait for minutes to unlock, after you pause the machine.

The features of the AddWash

The AddWash has 14 wash cycles: normal, heavy duty, bedding, whites, sanitize, allergen, rinse + spin, deep steam, eco cold, quick wash, perm press, wool, delicates and active wear.

If you want a fast cycle, you can use the Super Speed feature and do a cycle in just 30 minutes. If, on the other hand, if you want a deeper wash, the Heavy Duty cycle is guaranteed to get the job done, although it will take around 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete.

Here are some other features of the AddWash:

  • 5 temperature settings
  • SelfClean feature
  • Steam wash
  • Extra spin and extra rinse
  • Child lock
  • WiFi and app control
  • Sound on and off option
  • PowerFoam technology that ensures a thorough, deep wash, by using a combination of air, water and detergent

In terms of energy consumption, the Samsung AddWash is Energy Star Certified. Moreover, there is also an Eco Cold Wash option on it, which takes 55 minutes to complete.

Although the max. spin speed is 1300 RPM, which should be more than enough for everyone, if you still want to get the excess water out of your laundry, you can also use the Extra Spin option of the washer.

As you would expect from such a Samsung product, the AddWash comes with WiFi and app control, via their Smart Things App, which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Some cons of the Samsung AddWash

On the downsides of the AddWash, we can mention the noise level, which is quite high, despite Samsung’s efforts to reduce it through their VRT Plus technology.

There are some times when the touchscreen on the control panel is not responsive enough, which might be a bit annoying, but it’s not a general issue and definitely not a deal breaker.

And lastly, the price of the washer, which is not exactly attractive, and for some people, this can be a deal breaker.

Price. The Samsung AddWash can be purchased for $1900

Overall, the Samsung AddWash is a complex, smart and modern device, with a plethora of features, a superb look and a large capacity. If your budget allows it, you should definitely check it out.
