When it comes to system optimizers for both Windows and macOS devices, Reimage Repair is among the best you can find. The software is packed with useful features designed to clean, repair and improve the performance of your computer, saving you the trouble of having to reinstall the operating system. Not only that, but this software also includes a mobile app that you can use if you have an Android device.

Reimage Repair was developed by a utility software company headquartered in Tel Aviv and works on every Windows version from XP to Windows 8 Pro (32-bit and 64-bit). Unfortunately, if your device runs on Windows 10, Reimage Repair won’t be of any use to you, as it is not compatible with it.

As for Mac computers, Reimage is compatible with OS X Maverick and up.

The mobile app is compatible with Android 2.3 and up.

Reimage requires at least 512 MB RAM, at least 40 GB of drive space and a 1 GHz processor, to be able to do its job properly.

We are going to focus on Reimage for Windows in this article, as it is the most popular and complex of the three.

What are the features of Reimage?

Reimage Repair is very comprehensive and its rich set of features helps you not only clean the junk in your system, but also repair all the OS issues in your computer. The result is a more stable and faster device.

Reimage has a huge database that contains over 25 million Microsoft files (we are obviously talking about the Windows version) that are pristine and authentic. These files are used to replace the damaged ones in your computer, so that you can get rid of viruses and other issues.

Reimage is great at fixing Windows errors, crashes, freezes and BSODs (blue screens of death). It can also fix virus damage and damaged DLLs (dynamic link libraries). DLL files contain codes and functions that open various Windows programs. These can get damaged from all the programs we install and uninstall on our computers, because the DLLs will get overwritten by the new version of the program we just installed and some of these apps still require the old versions of DLL to be able to function properly.

Reimage can identify malware on your PC, from viruses to adware, worms, root kits, adware and so on, by using its own custom virus engine in combination with one from Avira, which is a Reimage Repair partner. Even though you shouldn’t rely exclusively on Reimage to protect you from online threats, you can use it to fix virus damage. The infected files will be removed and replaced with clean files from Reimage’s repository.

How does Reimage work?

You have to follow a few simple steps in order to use Reimage. The first one is to download the software and install it on your device. Although you can find Reimage in various places on the internet, it is best to download it from the official website, so that you don’t risk getting infected with malware.

Once you’ve installed Reimage, you can run a free system scan. The scan will reveal all the issues in your PC, arranged by category. The software displays all the hardware issues, stability issues and security issues. Some examples of hardware problems: low disk speed, CPU power and temperature issues and more. Issues that fall in the security category: malware of all types, such as viruses, Trojan horses, root kits, worms, adware and so on. Stability issues: programs installed on your PC that cause crashes, freezes, reboots, etc.

Once the scan results are displayed, you know what you are dealing with and the next step to take is to activate Reimage. While the software lets you run a scan for free, you can’t repair any issues unless you purchase a license to activate the software.

What is the cost of Reimage?

Reimage offers licenses for a year, for 1 device or for 3. If you purchase the Windows version, you have to pay $41.95 for 1 license or $58.95 for 3 licenses.

If you buy Reimage for Mac, you have to pay $29.95 for 1 license for a year or $39.95 for 3 licenses for a year. You can also buy a license that gives you access to a one-time use only, for $19.95. The reason why the Mac version of the software is more affordable is because Reimage for Mac is a bit less complex than the Windows one in terms of features.
